I found your journal while searching for info on Xcell. I'm hoping to enroll, but I am wondering if there's a required down payment if you're getting student loans... If so, how much is it?
And can you get student loans that cover the entire cost?

I haven't had to make any down payment, the only thing I paid was the $75 application fee out of pocket.
My loan I make $10 payments while in school, I don't remember the term or reason why. I want to say disembursment, but that doesn't sound right. I think it's just to put off the interest or something, I'm not sure, Ryan can explain your options to you.
You can get student loans to cover as little of the cost or as much as you want, I think. I think it really just depends on your credit and all that. Ryan told me that I should apply for $18k (which is over the whole amount they require, just so I could use the extra money to buy doll heads), but when my mom and grandmother got involved they worked out a different plan with him where now I'm borrowing smaller amounts at first and if I decide I want to stick with it I'll borrow more.

I think the word you might have been looking for was deferment. That's where you put off making payments until a later date.
When did you start? How are you liking it? Are you part time or full time? And one more, when did you apply/enroll and when did you actually start (how long does the application process for the school and financial aid take)?
