So. I did it. I saved the day and vanquished all the problems we had. As of yesterday everyone has been set up financially to pursue whatever insane goals they have without me. I even managed to make a few dollars for my trip

Best thing you can do is go to a community/county clinic that offer free health services. Or something that offers a sliding scale in which you can pay what you can sort of deal.

You may have to wait for a few days for an appointment or you can walk-in depending where you go or how the business operates but certainly something you can do besides going to an ER. However this sounds pretty serious, if it gets out of hand, promise me you'll seek help at a local hospital.

At least from seeking care there, you can get referrals that can help you out further. Welfare may be the best place to find out more about this kind of information.

I'm going to a charity hospital tomorrow afternoon. They should be able to at least see if there's something immediately life threatening going on. It's quite a ways off and the wait is horrendous but may be worth it.
