burn clinic was not so bad. apparently 90% of the burn is 2nd degree and will eventually heal all by itself. they were not sure about the area right in the crease of my neck. it may be third degree there and i may need a skin graft but i will find out for sure next monday. they gave me another prescription for vicodin

It's good you're mostly 2nd degree. It's the 3rd degrees that scar. 2nd is painful, but superficial enough not to require grafting.
I'm glad they didn't take you to tanking. If the burns are extensive enough, and if a lot of it is 3rd degree, you go to a room full of tubs. They tubs have a mixture of saline and peroxide and the scrub (debriede) patients. The sobbing and screams in there are unbearable.

I'm learning even when life sucks, we need not look far to see others much worse off. I know that's not a great comfort, but it's something concrete.

Vicodin knocks me out too, well the few times I've taken it. Good stuff. I didn't know you got burned :( I'm assuming you made another post about it, I'll have to go back in the entries.
