No really.

I am thoroughly mystified as to why any woman would wear jeans when there is comfy and colorful stretch velvet to be had. I throw on a pair of tights, a dress, shoes and BAM ~~ I am dressed. I look great, I am comfortable, there is nothing binding anything, it's washable... Stretch velvet is incredibly practical!

seriously...

why not?

Why not, indeed? Skirts are many times more versatile, too -- warm in winter, cool in summer, and easily layered with many things.
I find jeans very restrictive to my movement. The only pair I have is part of some coveralls that I use for painting or seriously rough work. But otherwise, I have work skirts! *lol*

~and also wet messes bead on velvet and can be easily wiped away. A good pat down resolves any ditry/powdery spills, too.

I love that you used two different (and lovely) icons for your comments. you're such a girl!!!

I really dislike wearing jeans, and always have, even when I wore them because that's what we wore. I never thought they were comfortable. Ick.

I do have a pair of pants.

stretch velvet. *grin*

and my fabulous airforce mechanic coveralls that I throw over the top of my skirts for painting. They were a gift from my son and I adore them. They now sport large pink and purple splotches.

YES!!! Velvet cleans beautifully. Such a gift to us from the world of textiles.

you may not be an impartial bystander, but you are a bystander to whom I am partial.

What a lovely thing to say. I will treasure this compliment, maybe figure out a way to print it and put it in my envelope of love notes. *smile*

so much of what made me who I am is experiencing things like you are experiencing right now. You know my thoughts are with you, lovely one.
