When I joined LJ almost exactly six (!) years ago, it was so that I could post at the January 2007 event at
rt_challenge. And every December after that, there was an event going on at
metamorfic_moon. So this is the first holiday season I've faced without a Remus/Tonks event -- and I'm going through a certain amount of withdrawal, lol

AfterwardsRemus made his way slowly back downstairs, aware that his head was beginning to ache and not wanting Molly to be confronted in the morning with the remains of the party, or to take it out on Sirius if she was. A cup of tea and some clearing up ought to sort the head out, and quench this odd restlessness that he was conscious of recently. He’d felt almost guilty when Molly was crying, aware only too well what the future might bring but also conscious that in many ways he was happier than he’d been since teaching at Hogwarts. Probably down to having a purpose again. And yet he kept remembering Arthur’s face when the older man had seen Molly and her white, tear- ( ... )

Anyway -- since this whole "event" (so to speak) was really for a few of us to amuse ourselves with, I'm just as happy to wait for you and Katy to write whatever you want to write and call whenever they come in the "deadline". So, please just have as much fun with this as you want, and no pressure!

Let's just say: if you find an extra brain, can I have it? ;P Today has been another unsuccessful attempt to get all the leftover work from the fall semester cleared out before the spring one starts (Wednesday!!). I'm getting closer, but definitely not there yet.
I have been trying to make time to work on the Marauding chapter from Kaleidoscope in the evenings, and that's moving along, if slowly -- hoping to get some more writing time in tonight, if I get a couple more letters of recommendation written for students! (My guy has suggested that I write one for Harry's application for the Auror program, while I'm at it, and I might just do that, lol. In different character personas?)

LOL. "I may be a werewolf, but I can vouch for Harry's aptitude for self-sacrifice, his ability to come up with the worst names ever for his own children, and his natural sympathy for furry little problems." That should get him some sort of a job at the end of it? ;)

Looking forward to reading all of it when it's finished:)

Slowly! I had to take a break as my back was playing up and limiting the time I could use the computer, but it's feeling better today so I intend to crack on and finish the dratted thing, lol. It's a good job shimotsuki's deadline is on a piece of elastic. ;)

(Very much hope the back is feeling better soon! And I'm not saying that only because I'm looking forward to the rest of your drabble, lol.)

Are you up very early?!

Hope the back is solidly behaving, with no relapses, by now.
And no, I wasn't up early, just going to bed at the usual time, lol. Which was probably about the same as now. Midnight my time -- late, but not appallingly so?
Sporadic things gave me a big smile this week, btw. Today got away from me (I may have been reading the new Vorkosigan book, which my local library finally bothered to get) but I'm thinking there will be some correspondence time soon. :)

Back's been a lot better since the weekend, thanks. Hurray. Something should be finished tomorrow as I have a day at home and now a back to sit down with; I did a couple of short things for Pulped yesterday as my participation there has not exactly been frequent.
You know I'm going to say not to worry about sporadic things, so consider it said. ;) But yay! for the Vorkosigan book. You must let me know what you think of it as I've heard such good things. (Also, I have discovered a new author, that may or may not remind me of Megan in a couple of ways. Unsurprisingly, they appear to be admirers of each other.)
