So, I got Dirge of Ceberus; Final Fantasy VII.

Don't trust the haters, it's beautiful, and Vincent is now one of my favorites of the VII cast.

Came out on 8/16, and I beat it yesterday.

Damn, I own the shit out of games.

I did it on hard mode. I don't even know how I do these things.

You do tend to beat games insanely fast. What's your secret? No sleeping? XD haha. Well perseverence is always awesome. I tend to give up if I mess up too many times & then I play when I feel up to it again later. XD I'm not good at shooting games, so I know I'm going to do horrible. haha.

My secret, I'm superhuman. ..no, seriously, I am. My hand-eye coordination is through the roof, and I think I'm pretty much qualified to be in Mensa. Why I waste it on anime and video games, beyond me.

Damn, I even played it on hard and beat it that fast.

It's just the fact that it was way over-hyped. People were expecting this SUPER AMAZING BEAT OUT ALL OTHER FF7 GAMES type game, and we didn't get that. The game kicks ass, and I think people are judging it way too harshly just because it didn't meat expectations.

Yeah, I let the hype go to everyone else and waited last minute to even get it. Thus, I went in knowing nothing and was impressed. It's not even super amazing, it's really just a little FFVII sidestory, nothing more, nothing less.

Go for the rent dude, totally. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE buy this game. Just borrow it from a friend and beat it in 6 to 8 hours.

You're right about all of that, and I didn't like Vincent either, but it wasn't the gameplay that changed my mind, it wasn't the story that did it either. It was the ending, of all things. It wasn't until I finished the game, and got the last bit of what was left that he changed in my eyes.

Heh, I was more excited to see all of the other characters than him, sadly.
