Ok so I know some of you play World of Warcraft out there... or did at one point. Consider this a general cry out for some assistance.

You see I have a Druid named Rudiger (yes BL inspired name and I swear he is doing the mountain of a man justice by being a Tauren) who belongs to a team of Horde side players specifically for doing instance runs ( Read more... )

i would say as a druid the best thing you can do is focus on 1 aspect of your class and devote everything to it. this goes for your other party members as well.

just because a class has the ability to heal, doesn't mean they should. You should talk with your party members and decide who has the best ability to tank, who has the best abililty to heal, DPS, etc and then assign roles. you can always off-tank or off-heal when the going gets rough, but if you focus in one area, you're going to be a lot better off as a group ( ... )

I usually play a hunter (61 ^_^) and I only use my pet for a tank as a last resort knowing he is going to probably die. We have a chance to pick up a pet from Wailing Caverns (big ol turtle) who would be better than the current DPS pet (dragonhawk). I think it has been decided the Paladin will be tanking until higher levels then I get to bear-tank. I will most likely invest heavily in Resto until then.

The only worry I have is that our designated tank isn't used to playing a tanking class so I will have to switch into sub-tank if things go wrong. Also half the group is shammy happy so I'll probably be last resort tanking at all but by then we've run through all of the healers in the party.

thank you though for the suggestion. I think I will try and focus on being Resto until they need me for all the time tanking.
