Out of curiosity; how many of you use LJ's note feature?

If so, what do you use it for?

Also I'm really meme'd out at this point but apparently there needs to be another one of these, so here's the latest HONESTY MEME in case someone has something to say.

I attach people's nicknames and where I know them from; I have a terrible memory, and it helps when I'm browsing communities and feel like someone making a given comment is probably someone I should know.

That, and searching memes for my friends by just looking for asterisks is really convenient.

I'm actually really good at remembering nicknames (real names, not so much) so that's not a problem. I do get tripped up when people rename frequently, though.

Those, too. (I use it to keep track of players at C&C, too - nicknames and who they play, so I don't make myself look like a total dumb ass) Renames always trip me up.

What the hell does "Ban user everywhere?" do?

You can now ban a user from all of your communities and journals at once. To access this feature, hover over the person's userpic and choose Ban user everywhere from the drop-down menu.

I got my hopes up for something like no longer being able to see specific users posts. Damnit.

I've never used that feature before, mostly since I can generally keep good track of my f!list even when people change names.

Also, the above exchange made me choke on my orange juice. XD

I'm abysmal with name changes, especially when it comes to people who rename damn near bi-monthly.

vore is pretty good for that, yeah.
