This story was really nice. I don't understand much about tennis and I was still able to enjoy it immensely. I like how you didn't explain everything and left some things to interpretation. Really nice read, thank you.
Tbh my biggest fear was that all my tennis talk would end up making of this fic something not easy to understand at all, but I'm glad to know it didn't happen and that you were able to have a good time reading it.
Thank you for your time to read this story and for taking the time to let me know your thoughts!
wow this was so good! I know nothing about tennis so I probably missed a lot but I really enjoyed Minkey's relationship and endless tension. Also - i liked that you didn't end it with Minho finally beating Key. Maybe Minho will be able to now, but the readers will never know! I love that.
Hehe I wanted to make a story where I could portray how a sports-person lives their life when they are so deep into the sport they dedicate everything they are and also grow up through this path. That's why it was so important to me to not have the ending be about who wins or who loses, but more about what they find along the way and how this small thing is what ultimately completes the puzzle. From then on, MinKey happened naturally haha
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and leaving your impression about this story!
I am going to fail miserably at explaining how much I love this fic but I'm still going to try. You know how when you're on a roller coaster & it slows down as it goes up a steep hill & then just smoothly accelerates once it hits the peak? That was this fic. I wasn't sure what was happening at first & then suddenly everything was clicking together & it was so smooth & nice. So many characters but it didn't feel "busy", & each was so uniquely them. A bit heart-broken for Taemin & proud of him for putting Kibum's heart before his own. Ah, this was just a really cool concept & excellently executed.
You have no idea how happy I was when I read your comment. I wrote this mainly with a rhythm on mind and to know you traveled through these words in the very same way I envisioned… well, it made me jump in joy!
I had to cut out many moments there about the other characters haha because it was indeed getting crowded, I'm glad I left the exact amount of snippets as to give more life to this but without missing the actual point of the story haha but I think I will publish a piece of Taemin's involvement. While I wrote what he did and saw, I couldn't help but think he was really cool haha so I wanna give him a chance to go deeper into his thinking.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so, so much for explaining to me the way this story made you feel!!!!!!!
Yes! I play tennis! I'm no genius like Kibum or Minho or any of them- hahaha but most of the playing scenes are descriptions of things I have experienced in the courts and things I have also watched others doing, so the tricky part about writing them was choosing the details that gave something to the story and weren't just fillers. I'm glad to know they were easy to follow!
When I read you caught onto what I did with the narration structure. I didn't want to make something long this time around, instead I wanted to be more careful about the details and how to immerse the reader more into a story with some background for interpretation hehe
Thank you very much for the time you spent both reading and commenting, I appreciate it with all my heart!
Quote time!! THe PRess CoNF omg "Minho is tempted to pinch the bridge of his nose at the sudden memory. Kibum and he are being bombarded by almost an endless series of questions regarding a past he doesn't want to discuss right now. He knows of course this is all Kibum’s doing. After his declaration that one day, things became a nightmare with the media. This is how Kibum welcomes him to Wimbledon, of course." Of course. Secret jokes and history passed right under the noses of the reporters that only serves to stir the pot! Oh Kibum.
"Every single spectator bursts into claps. Minho’s heart is on fire. He can see Kibum next to his dad, a mop of pink hair that keeps his arms crossed against his chest as he pretends to be nonchalant about the whole affair. Minho can feel the weight of his stare though and it tells him all he needs to know. Kibum's interest has been caught, there must be a particular gleam in his eyes and he’s also probably even leaning forwards to take a better look. Kibum always pushes Minho to his very limits and
