Taemin turned away from the window when he heard the door behind him open.
“Minho hyung, come here! Look at the snow,” Taemin said happily, pointing to the window.
Minho put his school bag on his bed and went to stand next to Taemin at the window. The maknae was staring outside entranced by the big snowflakes slowly drifting down to the ground.
“It's the first snow,” Taemin murmured. Minho hummed in response and Taemin looked up at his hyung. The fifteen year old blushed slightly at being so close to his handsome band mate. He had acquired a bit of a crush on Minho after only a few months after Shinee debuted. He couldn't help but like the tall, nice and quiet older boy.
“Want to go outside and play with me?” Taemin asked, not really expecting Minho to agree. Minho was more quiet and reserved, he probably wouldn't want to play with a little kid like Taemin.
Minho looked down at him and Taemin looked at him with his shining, hopeful eyes despite his doubts.
“Ok let's go,” he said, surprising Taemin. The maknae smiled brightly at Minho.
The two youngest of Shinee put on their coats and went outside where the snow was falling down lightly.
“What did you want to do? Have a snow ball fight?” Minho joked. The ground was bare since the light snow only melted when it touched the ground.
“I don't know,” Taemin said, feeling a little embarrassed, “We could try to catch snowflakes.” The maknae stuck his tongue out and waited for a snowflake to land on it.
“I don't really get why people do that. Even if you do catch one, how would you know?” Minho asked.
Taemin retracted his tongue and pouted, “I don't know, but it's just for fun anyway,” he said, “You know...we could make a game out of it. Whoever catches a snowflake first wins.”
Minho was silent before replying, “Fine, you're on.”

Taemin and Minho were still outside when Taemin got a text. The maknae opened his phone and saw a message from Key: Get in here! It's cold and someone might see you two! Taemin looked up at their dorm's window and saw Key's face pressed against the window, looking annoyed.
“It looks like we have to go inside,” Taemin informed Minho.
“Was it Key hyung?” Minho asked and Taemin nodded, “Then we better go before he throws a fit.”
Taemin giggled and the two boys made their way back up to their dorm.
“What were you two doing out there? Someone could have seen you,” Key scolded as soon as they entered the room, “We're idols now. You can't run around unsupervised.”
“Sorry, I didn't think anyone would notice us hyung,” Taemin apologized.
Key smiled, “That's ok, just be careful next time,” he said, patting the younger on the head, “You two go sit down on the couch; I made hot chocolate.”
The two youngest did as they were told. Taemin sat a little closer to Minho than necessary, longing to be closer to his hyung. Key quickly scurried in and gave them both a mug of hot chocolate before leaving to do laundry.
“He never stops does he?” Minho said, his voice so quiet Taemin barely heard him.
“Yeah, but that's why he's called almighty isn't it?” Taemin said, “Um, Minho-hyung?”
“Yeah?” Minho answered, eyes focused on the television.
“I was thinking...we should hang out more,” Taemin said, “Like we did today. I had fun with you.”
Minho looked at Taemin and was quiet for a minute, “Sure, I'd like that,” he finally replied.

“Minho hyung!” Taemin called from outside the room.
Hearing the maknae's call, Minho set down the book he was reading and left his room. Taemin wasn't outside the door, so Minho made his way through the dorm until he was in the kitchen.
The other four Shinee members were there with a cake and they started singing happy birthday when they saw him. Minho smiled at the gesture. When the singing was over, Minho blew out the candles and made a wish.
“Happy birthday, Minho,” Taemin said, hugging his hyung tightly.
“Thanks Taeminnie,” Minho said, pecking the younger on the lips, “Thanks everyone.”
“What did you wish for?” Onew asked, smiling brightly as usual.
“It's a secret,” Minho said mysteriously. His arms were still wrapped around Taemin.
“Probably something about Taemin,” Jonghyun said, bumping shoulders with Key. Key just pouted; he still wasn't very pleased with his 'baby' dating someone. Even if the relationship was already three months old and going strong.
“Let's eat this cake already,” Key said, handing the knife to Minho so he would let go of Taemin.

After Shinee's little birthday party for Minho, Taemin and Minho played video games in the living room. Onew and Jonghyun had a schedule to go to and Key was multitasking between going on the computer and cleaning.
Taemin was winning and Minho knew his eyes probably looked like flames as we tried his best to beat the maknae at the racing game.
“I won!” Taemin cried once he passed the finish line. He threw his controller up in the air in his excitement only to have it land on his foot. “Ouch,” he whined, rubbing his foot.
“Rematch,” Minho said, already setting up for another race.
“Oh my gosh,” Taemin said, rolling his eyes at Minho's competitiveness, but he went along anyway.
The race began and once again Taemin was winning and it was already the second lap. Minho usually doesn't cheat, but with Taemin's gloating laugh ringing in his ears he couldn't help himself. The elder's hand shot away from the controller and he poked Taemin in the side where he knew he was ticklish. Taemin shrieked and dropped the controller so Minho got a demanding lead.
“You're such a...!” Taemin cried and grabbed his controller, but it was too late. Minho had won.
The taller male stood, his index finger high in the air as a sign of victory. His victory lap didn't last long because Taemin pulled him back down on the couch.
“I can't believe you!” he said, playfully hitting Minho, “Are you satisfied with yourself.”
“That depends;are you my prize?” Minho asked, pushing Taemin down on the couch.
“Cheaters don't get prizes,” Taemin said, but he didn't fight as Minho leaned in to kiss him. As their lips met, Taemin thread his hands through Minho's hair. He wiggled as Minho's hands gripped his hips.
“Taemin can you help me with something!” Key's voice came from their bedroom.
The two pulled apart hesitantly. “I better go help hyung or he'll flip,” he said.
“I know,” Minho said, reluctantly getting off Taemin, “I swear he has some kind of sixth sense. He knows when we start having too much fun.”
The maknae giggled and disappeared into the bedroom. Minho slowly got off the couch. He looked out the window and it was snowing. He spent a few minutes staring out the window until Taemin returned. He wrapped his arms around Minho, his head resting against the elder's back.
“Look,” Minho said, unwrapping Taemin's arms from around him so he could look out the window.
“It's snowing again,” Taemin noted. The new flakes were adding a layer of fresh snow to the couple inches from yesterday, “Let's go play.”
Minho agreed and the two were almost done putting their shoes on when Key's voice floated in from the bedroom.
“Don't you dare go outside!” he yelled.
Minho and Taemin sighed and took off their coats and shoes lest they feel the wrath of Key.
“You're right, he does know when we are having too much fun,” Taemin said, rolling his eyes, “But I guess someone needs to be the mom around here.”
The two sat back down on the couch to watch television and Minho's eyes suddenly lit up. “I just remembered, this is my first birthday since we got together,” he said, holding Taemin's hand.
“This whole year has been full of firsts,” Taemin said.
“Yeah, but you only have firsts that this once right?” Minho replied.
“True,” Taemin agreed, “And I'm glad I got to have them with you.”
The two kissed softly while the snow outside continued falling.

“What are we gonna do?” Onew asked the manager over the telephone.
The other Shinee members were sitting quietly on the couch, but they couldn't hear the response.
“I see, we'll just have to wait it out I guess,” Onew said sadly, “Thank you...bye.”
“What did he say?” Key asked as soon as Onew hung up.
“It seems we'll have to stay here for Christmas,” Onew replied, looking dismally at the phone.
“Well let's not be depressed! At least we have each other!” Key said. He put his arms around Jonghyun and Taemin who he was sitting between.
The Shinee members had planned to visit their families this Christmas and take a short vacation, but as luck would have it there was a snow storm the day before Christmas Eve. They were snowed in, it seemed, until after Christmas.
“We could have a little Christmas party,” Key insisted, “There's still food in the refrigerator.” He got up and disappeared into the kitchen, probably to magically prepare a meal like he always does.
Minho got up and went into the bedroom, Taemin naturally trailing after him.
“Are you upset you can't go see your family,” Taemin asked Minho. The two sat next to each other on Minho's bed.
“A little,” he replied, “I haven't seen them in a while after all. At least I have you though.”
“Oh stop,” Taemin said, fighting off a smile and failing.
Minho held Taemin and the two laid down for a quick nap. Minho placed a small kiss on Taemin's cheek before the two fell asleep.

An hour or so later, they were awoken by a banging on the door.
“Open up you two,” Key yelled, “I swear if you are doing anything in there...”
Minho sat up with a groan, “We were taking a nap!” he yelled in response.
“Well come out! I made dinner,” Key shouted back.
“Stop yelling,” Taemin whined, covering his ears from the noise, “I just woke up.”
“Sorry Taeminnie,” Minho murmured, kissing him on the forehead, “Let's go have dinner.”
“Ok,” Taemin said. He groaned as Minho pulled him out of bed, still tired from his short nap.
The two left the bedroom and into the kitchen where dinner was waiting for them. Onew and Jonghyun were already sitting at the table and Key was putting some utensils in the sink.
“Quit dragging your feet. I'm hungry!” Jonghyun told the two who were slowly walking to the table.
“You can eat now, stop complaining,” Key said, finally sitting down at the kitchen table.
Minho and Taemin also sat down and everyone began eating. They ate quietly with the only noise coming from the chopsticks hitting the bowls. All of them were a little disappointed about not seeing their families for Christmas.
They were silent through the whole meal. When they were all finished Onew, Jonghyun and Key went into the living room to watch television. A game of rock paper scissors decided Minho would wash the dishes, but Taemin stayed to help his boyfriend.
“Is there anything you want to do tomorrow?” Taemin asked. He was drying the plates that Minho had washed and setting them on the table to be put away.
“Well there's not much we can do if we can't leave the dorm,” Minho said, handing Taemin a bowl.
“Yeah, but there's stuff to do inside,” Taemin replied, “Watch tv, play video games, sleep all day...”
“Sleeping sounds good right now. Since we don't have any schedules I prefer to get as much sleep as possible” Minho said, handing Taemin another plate “This is the last dish.”
Taemin took the dish from Minho and dried it. They were now finished with the dishes. “Good job!” Taemin said and they high fived.
“Let's go to our room,” Minho suggested, pulling the maknae out of the kitchen.
“Don't you guys want to watch tv with us?” Jonghyun asked when they passed through the living room.
“No thanks,” Minho said, as he and Taemin walked hand in hand to their bedroom.
Key glared at their retreated figures. “Don't do anything I wouldn't do!” he called after them.
“That doesn't rule out much,” Jonghyun said.
“Don't say that!” Key scolded. There was a slapping sound followed by a whiny 'ow' from Jonghyun.
Taemin giggled at his playful hyungs as he and Minho entered the bedroom. Minho laid down on the bed, but Taemin went over to the window to look outside.
“So much snow,” Taemin commented, looking out at Seoul which looked white from all the snow, “But I don't care, I like it.”
“I know, you like snow a lot right?” Minho asked as Taemin jumped on the bed with him.
“I love it. I have a lot of good memories about the snow,” Taemin said, resting his head on Minho's chest.
“Like what?” Minho asked. He grabbed Taemin's hand and started playing with his fingers.
“Hmmm...when we started going out,” Taemin said as an example.
“It was snowing wasn't it?” Minho said.
“Yeah, it was the last snow of the year,” Taemin said, he closed his eyes as if remembering that day, “And when you went to kiss me you were so nervous you missed my lips.” Taemin giggled at the memory. The start of their relationship had been awkward and sweet. It was childlike, but it suited them.
“I don't miss anymore,” Minho said and kissed Taemin square on the lips to make his point.
“No, you don't,” Taemin agreed. He glanced out the window and noticed it was snowing again, “More snow!”
“Again? We're going to be stuck here until next year!” Minho said with a groan.
Taemin watched the snow fall for a minute before leaning up and kissing Minho on the cheek before whispering, “I don't mind.”
