[Taekey Drabble] Underneath the Stars
Title: Underneath the Stars

a/n: A small drabble I felt like writing while I was listening to The Cure~
Sitting on his bed in his bedroom, Taemin let his thumb ghost over the delete button on his mobile phone. Doubting if he should erase the phone number, the name, the feelings and the memories all at once. He sighs deeply and stares at the screen that only gives light in the half dimmed room. He can't.
Throwing his phone on the ground and hearing a loud thud in response, he lets himself falling backwards on his mattress. Looking outside his window at the tiny lit stars - not fully shining yet. It reminds him of someone. The one he actually really misses right now.
“Taem... we should do this more often.” the older boy lying next to him says almost whispering. Taemin turns his head to look at his profile. The sight makes him smile and tiny butterflies come alive in his stomach. He watches as Kibum talks again, while his nose softly moves along with his lips that form the words.
“Watching at the stars together is sickly romantic actually. I mean...” Kibum stops talking as he feels Taemin touching his nose with an index finger. “Shh” Kibum turns his head to ask why the younger boy shushes him. Before he can say another thing, completely ignoring the younger one, he sees Taemin lifting himself a little on his elbow and scoots slowly closer to Kibum which made the latter close his eyes in anticipation.
When he opens them slowly after a few seconds he sees Taemin above him - moving closer before Kibum could really take notice.
Soft lips pressing on his. And they feel like they are alone in this world and drifting away in to infinite.
“We could drift away so far” a soft wishful whisper.
Looking out of the window with his head resting on folding arms, Kibum feels a tear falling down his face. The stars were getting brighter as it got later and Kibum had a strong urge tonight to gaze at them. Memories and emotions came all at once and it was a little bit too much for Kibum. He acted strong these couple of months to hide what he wanted to forget - A strange love that got out of hand by growing apart. While looking at the twinkling stars, Kibum thinks about everything in peace. Finally.
He takes his mobile phone and goes through his contacts. Relieved, he finds the name he is looking for. While giving the stars one final glance for courage he punches the letters.
