The best Christmas I ever had was back when I lived with the Parkers. It was one of a few I spent with them and they were some of the most memorable times in my life. Aunt May and Uncle Ben couldn't have been better to me and well, it was fun watching Peter get into the Christmas spirit.
The one year I remember the most, we were all ready to have our big dinner with the four of us. Big turkey, stuffing, all kinds of other foods and the best desserts Aunt May could cook up for us. Then there was a knock at the door and when Peter opened up the door, there was my dad. Apparently, Aunt May had gone over to convince him that he needed to spend Christmas with his daughter. It's weird, my father and I have had so many problems but that day he was the dad I always wanted. Aunt May can sure whip them into shape.
He didn't have any presents for anyone, and I wasn't really expecting anything, but he was there and that was really what meant the most. He didn't try to talk anyone down either. Mostly because he knew there were people in the room who would smack it right back down at him. It's probably the best Christmas I've ever had until now.
And well. This Christmas is one I can't wait to celebrate. It's mine and Harry's first Christmas together and there's no telling what's going to happen. I'm a little nervous about the whole family meshing thing on Christmas day, but I've been nervous about the family meshing thing since we started dating. He gets that though.
We're going to get our tree and put it up in the house. Peter's helping whether he wants to or not. Aunt May brought over some old handmade ornaments so we could decorate and it's just going to be amazing.
