Sometimes, I think that if I were someone else and I saw how I act around people I don't know / basically anyone but my friends and family, I would think that I'm an Ice Princess or a snob. I just get so painfully shy and awkward and I can't think of anything to say, so I just sit there, and fold my arms, or fidget; basically I do anything but try

Dear, I completely understand you. I am like that too. I myself think sometimes that people do not like me because I am too shy. I really do not know what to say, but, you don't have to think of yourself as a snob... because being shy is I think natural... Maybe we can just engage a conversation if other people will start it.

I know that it was always freaking hard to communicate with others especially when it's those that you either are not close to, or simply do not know. I have my fair share in this kind of stuff and I have to admit, the feeling sucks sometimes.

Well, TWIN here couldn't give much of an advice but you can try to be more open up? Crack your own shell. (I am already trying to break out of the shell and I think I can say that the feeling's great)
