Talk about awkward wordings....
'Hey Sungmin?' Shindong poked his head into the living room where Sungmin was watching some game show.
'Yeah?' Sungmin looked away from the screen.
'Do you know where Hankyung is? He said he would help me with Calculus.'
'I can help you. Hankyung's busy right now'
'Oh, okay, thank you!'
'Wow, thanks Sungmin! I didn't think it was that that problem was that easy!'
Sungmin shrugged. It's easy if you just read it over and over again and look at your notes. That's how I passed Calc.'
'Thanks again Sungmin!'
'Anytime.'
The sun had already set when Sungmin finally went to go look for Hankyung. He wasn't in his room, so Sungmin decided to look in the next best place, the roof of their apartment.
The door to the roof creaked loudly and Sungmin winced. He felt like he was intruding. He knew that Hankyung couldn't really say anything because he was mute and he would rather not take advantage of Hankyung, especially during his private time.
'Hankyung?' he called out softly. He knew it was kind of silly to call out his name when Hankyung could not even answer back, but he still did it anyways.
Hankyung's head appeared from behind a huge potted plant. He waved.
Sungmin walked to where he was. 'Shindong said you volunteered to help him with his Calculus homework the other day.'
Hankyung's lips formed an 'o' shape and his eyes grew round. He started to get up from the bench he was sitting on.
'But I already helped him, so it's okay.'
Hankyung sat back down and pointed to the bench beside him.
Sungmin sat down and Hankyung smiled gratefully.
They sat quietly for a few minutes before Sungmin got restless. He fidgeted, but that started to rock the bench, so he stopped himself by starting to talk.
'Have you ever given any thought as to what your voice would sound like if you could talk?' Sungmin turned to Hankyung, who had been staring at the twinkling stars in the sky.
Hankyung looked at Sungmin and shrugged.
'I've always wondered what your voice would sound like...' Sungmin trailed off, looking a bit embarrassed.
Hankyung smiled encouragingly.
Sungmin laughed. 'Ah, well, considering your personality, I've always thought that you would be a person with a very soft, pleasant voice. And since you're Chinese, I imagine you would have an accent, but it would be cute. It would make you more of a, um, a Hankyung.'
Hankyung grinned and nodded, as if agreeing with him.
'Your voice wouldn't be too high or too low, but kind of in the middle. It would sound just right. It would put anyone at ease. You'd have a great bed time voice Hankyung.'
Hankyung patted his shoulder and Sungmin obliged, placing his head in the crook of Hankyung's neck.
Sungmin's eyes started to droop and he yawned quietly. 'Don't you wish you could talk? So that you could hear your own voice too?'
Hankyung nodded.
'If I was the first person you could talk to, what would be the first thing you would say to me?' He closed his eyes.
Hankyung took Sungmin's right hand, and slowly, lightly, he began to trace some words onto his palm.
Sungmin was so tired that he almost missed the 'I ♡ you' being written on his hand. He smiled brightly, and pressed a light kiss to Hankyung's neck.
'I love you too, Hankyung.'
I enjoy reading your opinions everyone. :)
