I'm scarily close to filling all my bookshelves, there may need to be some creative rearrangement if I get many more... Possibly boxing and storing some of my lesser read books. 😐

At the moment I am facing a similar problem. I am going to try to see if I can get a little stand thing that will allow another row of books above a section of shorter ones (like your top row of the big bookshelf, I have some that are short and some that aren't, so I can't put in a whole other shelf board).

the trouble with my FMA box set, it's so tall I had to drop all my shelves down to sit it so it wouldn't suck up so much shelf space.

I'd love to have a taller shelf where the white one is, but that's where my movie rack goes, once it's fixed. The curse of only having one room.

I've considered swapping out my desk for this other one we have downstairs, but the one downstairs is full of drawers, not shelves. So many decisions.
