So, having been inspired by the posts of other LJ users, such as my friend Georgina, I have decided to show off all the lovely jewelry in my jewelry box, much of which has been handmade and acquired from etsy. This is an awesome post! Beautiful collection you have in your jewellery box and I can feel your love and passion for all your pieces....exciting to see all your other acquisitions from other sellers, must be fun!! :D The Frida necklace is really unique and how I envy you! How was the trip to Frida's house like? I think she's such a legendary woman artist who ever existed :D How do you do the links to other websites and sellers? Would love to do links but dont know how to here in LJ can teach me whenever you can? :D

Thank you! My trip to Mexico City was amazing...I went there on a "sketch book drawing trip" with the college I graduated from (Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia). We stayed right in the heart of Mexico City and did different things everyday (we took our sketchbooks everywhere and would draw everyday). We even climbed the pyramids of the sun and moon, which are about an hour or so outside the city. Our trip to Frida's house was so cool...they have turned her house into a museum, keeping her original personal items in the house. There is a shop attached to the museum selling lots of Frida stuff, which is where I got the pendant. (I didn't even get into showing my Mexican earring collection yet!!). I went crazy in Mexico buying jewelry.

Aww yay! I love seeing posts like these, and I love that you have a little personal story for nearly everything, or it has history and meaning behind it! Most of mine is just cos i think it's cute:P
I love the little hour glass and cat charm, they are so adorable!

Thanks, I always thought the little hour glass was so mysterious. It is so tiny! I was always fascinated with it when I was little. =)

Oh wow- everything is beautiful! I love the turquoise and silver.

That's because my mom actually bought it for me for xmas last year! It's really funny becuase I sent her the link to it while she was at work saying how awesome it was and then it was suddenly "sold" and I was really sad cause I thought someone else bought it! But then it showed up for xmas and I was sooooo happy =)
