COOL!! Eastern Canada is very picturesque. Did you go w/ family or just yourself?

I really do think PEI is one of the prettiest places. I would love to spend a week there just driving around the island and enjoying the landscape.

Nice! Love your pics of PEI. Kind of pissed I didn't see it and Nova Scotia when I went to Fundy, but it was more driving and that bridge toll was $50+, too much for a day trip! I want to get a bike there and ride around.

You ain't kidding about Quebec- the day we drove from Quebec City to Fundy was long.ass. I also didn't realize French was spoken in NB, but well across the border from Quebec, the Tim Horton's was all in French.

Do watch Haven? It's filmed in Nova Scotia and your pics of Peggy's Cove made me think of it.

Thousand Islands were so pretty- wish I'd had more time there. Lucky you doing a boat tour!

I read somewhere that the bridge toll is about equivalent as taking the ferry so either way, you're paying. It's definitely good biking country though.

Oh Quebec. So. Much. Driving.

I know of Haven but never got around to watching it. Is it good? Just did a quick google and it's going into season 5, wow.

I like Haven. It's been uneven, starting with mostly monsters of the week (the "troubled") type stories, weaving a convoluted (and sometimes confusing to me) mytharc. But the last couple seasons hooked me more. Plus the scenery is pretty.

awww I did an east coast trip like this a few years ago and I recognize so many locations. I love PEI so much...when we were there we literally did nothing but it was just so nice to be there. It just felt so peaceful and calm. I can't explain it but I'm sure you felt that too.

And it poured when I was in Halifax too.

I love the east coast so much! Hope you get to go back to Quebec City in the daylight because it's reallly worth it

What's is with the rain in Halifax?! Oh yeah, I agree about PEI. Even with that wind, I could've stood on that Cavendish Beach for a couple of hours.

Great trip and pics! We drove from Montreal to Marystown, Nfld. when we moved there in 1971 and it was a loooooooooooooong drive (and sea crossing). Pegyy's Cove is quite like being in Newfoundland especially when it is foggy as it was last time we went there. I used to live in Saint John, NB, too. I agree, PEI is beautiful and well worth a visit on its own. We've been there several times since my family moved to Nova Scotia. My parents and sister live in Dartmouth so I have spent a lot of time in Halifax. The Southern Shore of NS is really pretty too.

I would love to visit Nfld one day - it is on the list! And definitely do more exploring of NS.
