I finally watched the new version of Footloose. I enjoyed all the little callbacks to the original like the dancing feet in the opening shot. And Willard! Willard was my favourite back then and he remained my favourite in this version. It was a long & tiring weekend. Got about 4 hours of sleep each night. Played host to 2 crazy Darren fangirls and met many more. Thank goodness for Cloud Atlas cause that movie has a shitton of actors in it!

TIFF 2012 begun. 2 red carpets in 1 night. My feet still hurt. Was up VERY early this morning and currently have 2 crazy Darren Criss fans sleeping in my living room after driving all night from NYC because today is DARREN CRISS DAY at TIFF!

Now that my vacation will be used for non-fun stuff, all I'm left with are 3 4-day weekends, thanks to the Jewish holidays. LAST WEEKEND: CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) with Rina & Shirley. We ate Korean tacos & Rina had her first beaver tail (next time, deep fried mars bars!). Watched the ice skating show with Virtue & Moir. I was finally introduced to the cuteness that is the SuperDogs. ~~ Before I left for Cincy, I saw Avenue Q with jenab and it was great! The theatre was small, with no more than 150 seats and dang, those seats were not comfortable! As you all know, I had my right thyroid taken out a few weeks ago. Went for my follow-up appointment this morning and was hit by news I totally wasn't expecting. The pathology came back positive for papillary cancer. Cancer. HOLY SHIT I HAVE CANCER ( Read more... )
