The chapters were tiny at the beginning, and now they keep getting longer and longer... The conversation with Winona left me feeling raw; I remembered crying fits I had as a kid, and how she was there for me. But this was painful to write, because Winona isn't actually there, and they can't even touch each other.

Done! :OOOOO!! Oh JIM! First I wanted to smack him! Then I wanted to hug him! Well I've always wanted to smack him and hug him. Just...he's finally getting it, and thinking beyond himself. And the heart-to-heart! First with Carter and then with his mom. Also his Doctor is driving me crazy. I dunno I just don't like her.

I'm still so concerned about the baby and what's going to happen. I mean obvs Jim survives but but!! :OOOO

Jim's had a change of heart...but more bad stuffs will happen. 8( It's not over yet.

I'm glad you liked the heart to hearts in this chapter! I really enjoyed writing the scene between Winona and Jim, imagining the how much they want to be able to hug and be held right now, but they're not able to.

Lolz. :) Yes, that is quite true; the whole family is full of emotional blunderers.

I love abuse fics, and Frank can be quite the handy for those stories. But I also enjoy seeing characters with strong bonds, who care for each other quite a bit, but still manage to do more damage than any villain. In this story, it's Jim by pushing everyone away.
