It was inconceivable, unthinkable, simply impossible. Yet, it still happened, despite the way their personalities clashed. He liked to think it was because even though they're different, they still complemented each other well.
His laziness was overcome by her hard-working attitude. Her dislike for studying balanced out his incredible genius. His dislike for participating in anything equaled her vigor for arranging and planning events.
Yes, there were a lot of things where the two of them greatly complemented each other's characteristics. It was one of the many reasons why Shikamaru never regretted making an effort in their relationship.
She's pretty, vibrant, energetic, powerful, caring, loving-and she understood how he worked. She was everything he could ever ask for.
He smiled at the thought at cuddled closer to the body beside him, the cushion dipping down slightly and accommodating their weight. He lifted an arm and haphazardly threw it around her petite body, his fingers curling sleepily near her shoulders, and he smiled again, cherishing the peaceful moment for their cuddling-

"I told you Shika! Handle my hair with care!"
Ch, despite it all, she was still troublesome, especially about her hair.
