It was the simple things in life that matters most, Sakura faintly recalled, her mind spinning in hazy circles. Though, she mentally insisted, the blurry recognition of her surroundings was because she worked overtime last night. Not because of any other reasons, not because of the tingling of her lips from the oh-so-sweet act just a few minutes ago.
Her inner musings, fondly labeled as Inner Sakura Two, suggested that she would've gladly zoned over the training grounds for quite some time, if not for the suspicious voices and poorly-masked chakra crouched together on the bushes behind her. The chakra was very, very, very familiar, and promptly five seconds after, a blur of orange fell to the ground with an indignant snarl, glare focused solely on her other teammate.
If Sasuke-kun was here, then it meant-
Emerald eyes widened to the size of her mother's prized dinnerplates, her body trembling slightly. She opened her lips to say something, to plead (though, Inner Sakura Two calmly pointed out that her precious Sasuke-kun didn't care anyway) that what he saw was something out of-this world? Reason, yes, out of reason.
Then, before she could even make her throat work, Naruto was already sheepishly (and nervously--?) grinning at her, fingers fiddling with the hem of his orange-and-black jacket.
"I-We-I'm glad for you, Sakura-chan," Naruto said with that grin, voice soft and friendly, "at least, you wouldn't go ballistic when-" The blond trailed off abruptly, and covered his words with a rather high-pitched laughter, waving his hands frantically in order to dispel Sakura's suspicious look.
"The only reason I allowed him to give me kiss, was because he wouldn't stop bugging me," She reasoned defiantly against her blond friend, her emerald eyes shimmering with something, hope maybe, for Sasuke-kun to understand.
"…Lee's good for you." Sasuke said with a dull tone, his pale arms crossed over his chest, black eyes betraying nothing but that tiny whirl of recognition of her.
Her heart prepared for the ache it would feel at her long-time crush's words, but it felt nothing of that sort. She continued to feel that tingling, that butterfly-like feeling low on her stomach, and she couldn't understand why. She was in love with Sasuke-kun, right? Then why wasn't she hurt that he's pushing her towards the hardworking, energetic, bushy-eyebrowed Lee?
"Nah, I think she's zoning out again," Naruto idly commented to his partner, before the dark-haired male nodded towards the direction away from the training grounds.
They disappeared shortly after, leaving Sakura alone to sort out her thoughts.
The reason she gave him a kiss, she reasoned defiantly against her mind, Naruto, Sasuke-kun, was only because he wouldn't stop bugging her.

"I'm beginning to think that it was a bad choice," Naruto grumbled to the person standing tersely beside him.
Sasuke gave a grunt of agreement.
True, they're glad that their teammate found a good person to be with (which makes it less dangerous for the two of them when they finally told her about them), but really, with Lee's overzealous exclamations and manly tears from Sakura's agreement to be his girlfriend…
"…I think I'm going to skip out on the wedding," Naruto said, cringing with the sight of their friend's superbly-joyous face.
And Sasuke couldn't agree more.
