The thing is that some vegetarians think that because they don't eat meat they need to eat more cheeses, milk products, etc... and maybe ice cream, too.

Cheese on toast still has more calories and fat than a few strips of bacon.

Asian style vegetarianism is a lot more healthy -- tofu, rice, fried vegetables, pickled duck eggs, etc... enough fat, but not too much.

is eating eggs and drinking milk considered cruel? I am not sure. I've been researching this a bit and I am still a little wary about going full vegan. Apparently you need to supplement yourself with B12 as a vegan because eggs and dairy are the main source of this. I wonder if this would be acceptable as well. Maybe I could just try to limit my dairy and egg consumption, but not avoid it entirely. This is a little confusing.

I don't think I'll go complete vegan myself, but who knows. If you can get free range eggs (where the hens have a field or large space to freely walk around and shit on, some hay to make a nest, etc...) and organic milk where the cows arn't tortured for their milk, then ethically speaking it isn't a big deal and you can also be reasonably sure there won't be weird chemicals in your milk and eggs ( ... )
