20 minutes talking about islamic headscarves, women at work, the glass ceiling, urban nightmares and secularism (i mean, laicism) in garbled french got me 55 out of 60. Score ( Read more... )

Haha - I began to loathe the NME team when I applied for work experience and they didn't even dignify me with a response. Hmph.

Well done on the French! I am in such awe of people able to 'do' languages. Me and Michel aren't getting on that well at the moment. He feels I don't have enough time for him :/

I had a giant scary clear out two summers ago where i literally threw my life away including all photos and even 6 year old beano comics (i know!). And as impulsive as it was i felt really good afterwards. So maybe not having a picture of our ugly mugs won't matter that much. And those you would actually want to remember you will.

My mum made me keep my yr 11 photo though. So i attacked it with a black marker pen and it only has five visible faces left on it - the people i didn't passionately hate. Maybe you could do that to the picture to make up for not being in it?

Michel's an understanding kinda guy, but you gotta pay a little attention to yo' man....

I threw out most of my old NMEs last year, and that pained my heart in such a stupid way - I still kept the one with the Strokes's first cover. Oh, I AM sad...

Yearbook?

I know what you mean. Sometimes you just get a feeling of inevitability. I was watching Bridget Jones's Diary earlier, and all of a sudden, I saw myself in 15 years: an overweight, chain-smoking alcoholic working for a publishing company with no sex life and really big knickers.

Wanna swap?

ah, yearbook. you've settled my brain, you wonderful person who WILL NOT end up like Bridget Jones. All you need is a little self-respect, which Ms Jones is certainly lacking in the XTREME.

I lack self-respect in the XTREME too!
