'It was my contact lense!'

Yesterday was most bizarre. Last days of school tend to be anti-climactic and all-in-all a little disappointing, but this one was just plain weird. Having had a morning that was full of 'Wowwasn'tlastnightsogreatandEVERYONEwasthereandyayayayayayay!', and as a result of my unvoluntary absence at Duke's, I was in a pretty foul mood. But then I got ( Read more... )

i agree with a lot of that. i'm beginning to think creed was right, and that i should never have been tempted towards dukes.
remember though, that even if you feel like you've been nothing to the school itself, you've meant (and obviously continue to mean) a lot to people you met there.

TO KLARA: Now will you listen when I'm try to manipulate you into (not) doing something? ;)

TO HANNAH: The people who weren't paying attention obviously aren't worth bothering about, because the people who are noticed you weren't there. As for getting out of this town, yeah, it's a dirty, smelly shithole with a lot scum living here, but it's home (well, for me, anyway). One day, somewhere else will be home, and we'll be able to look back on it with rose-tinted glasses - the most beautiful view in the world.

You're both right - the temptation to Duke's it large could only have led to tears. But I've got good friends and Rufus Wainwright records - what else do I need?

at least your personal goodbye didn't prove she thought you were someone else!
"have fun with Anglo Saxon, Norse & Celtic"
me: "actually, i'm doing Zoology".
HAH. good to know you'll be remembered isn't it?

but seriously, you are memorable! and in a good way.

and What I found was that I'm longing to get away not only from this school, but this town. yes. me too xxx

Ah, Curtis did always have the personal touch - Mrs Kerr thought I was someone else at year 9 parent's evening. She was my year 7 form tutor. Oh dear.

I noticed you weren't in Dukes! And it made me sad, we could have danced the night away. I know how you feel - I don't feel like I've made my mark on the school at all, and very few people will remember me in afew years time. And I got cross when I realised that the first time Mrs Curtis had spoken to me in 7 years was when she gave me that card. I've been ready to get out of this place since about half way through lower sixth.

*Big hug*

(why is it that I only ever reply to your posts on here now, and don't update myself!??!)

you made a mark on me.

before i got to know you, you were the 'incredibly-cool-illusive-girl' that i wanted to get to know.

and for all the sniggering at inappropriate jokes we partook in i'm glad i did get to know you.

and if we do end up roughly near each other at uni i pick you as my drinking buddy. am not getting through higher education without alcohol. (plus you can join me in beating gina in the boat race in the first year)

You thought I was cool? I'm half-flattered and half worried about your judgement.

Yay for (hopefully) being at the same uni. But I'll be a drinking buddy that ends up on the floor after approx. 1 pint. It's the oriental gene.

Thanks - eating lots of seaweed is the secret to shiny hair. I'm so going to be on adverts when I'm all growed up.

Yay for Doree's house being better than everywhere! Jacuzzi, bar and really BIG sofas! Woo!
