Heck no, there are bazillions of gemstones out there that many of us speculated would be in the titles of Platinum and HGSS before they were announced. Topaz in particular was a popular fan choice. How many of them that would make good, catchy names for Pokemon names, though... thaaaaat's another matter entirely.

As will I. ♥ Because it certainly wouldn't be the first time something/somebody was renamed solely because "Black" was in their name y halo thar ygo. I think we're all hoping for some generally kickass Pokemon this gen, though~. Maybe something cool so I won't be sticking with the same two or three on my team every game.

Yeah... though I was told only one specific Pokewalker would work per game. I'll test out that theory later, because I was hoping to give this new spare (just received it an hour ago!) to my mom when we do our walks together so I'd get twice the loot on my excursions. Y'know, to make the best out a situation where I basically wasted $15 for nothing. XD

I always thought the gemstone names are better than just the colour names, but it depends whether it sounds right I suppose.
