One thing I found interesting in addition to everything you've already mentioned about this week's episode, at one point during the battle, Paul asks Ash why he's using his Sinnoh team rather than his other Pokemon. (You know, the really strong badass ones) Ash's response is something along the line of that he's using his Sinnoh team to prove that he can "beat Paul with any team he has bonded with", whether it's his hard-fought ones from over the years or the ones he's only had during his Sinnoh trip. After this exchange is when Paul responds by releasing Drapion to use. (Which, judging by previews is possibly going to rape half of Ash's team. That's what you get for being cocky, Ash.)

I think I missed that; then again there was a lot to be excited about and this episode needs to be subbed like now, ghhh.

And I believe Ash said something a long time ago how he'd use just his Sinnoh team to beat Paul just to prove that point to him... which is why I guess Gliscor returned; it never scored any kind of victory against Paul, so this is the opportunity for it to get its revenge, I suppose. But yeah... they seem to be playing up Drapion a lot and for it to just be a random capture of Paul's would just feel off. They need to give some of Paul's newly-revealed guys some kind of development because Electivire's honestly had more than enough and it'll probably get most of the final part in the limelight anyway.

Duuude I'll just ditto everything you said about the match so far \o/ Super looking forward to death scorpion wiping out half of Ash's team. Though he will RISE FROM THE ASHES (zing) and even things out again. The bits with Dawn were really well done early on too. It was nice to see all the twerps just chatting it up, albeit awkwardly (haha, dawn hopping over to Ash's side.)

I also got really giddy when I learned that exchange (^what otaku_attack mentions) took place. That's exactly what I would expect someone as stubborn as Ash to do, even if during their first full battle it proved to be a weakness since Paul knew ALL ABOUT THEM.

......and I laughed at the countershield man. Not only was Paul copying it, but he was using it as a LURE for Ash to attack from the ground. GJ man.

I'm gonna miss DP so much fft \o/ The characters have grown on me more than I thought.

I could have sworn Barry was trying to make a crack at Dawn for being at Paul's side period because I think she totally told Barry to STFU somewhere around that scene.

Could've sworn Ash promising to just use his Sinnoh team to beat Paul was what he had in store for all along. I forget when that was established, but I could've sworn it was at some point just so Ash would prove to Paul that his Sinnoh team's competent in spite of lacking experience. B-but holy crap yes, evidently Paul was taking a page out of Conway's book seeing as Gastrodon's BODY SLAM RAPE attack looked an awful lot like something Conway would have done.

Man, I can't find ANY subbers who keep up-to-date subbed episodes. Hell, I can't find any subbed episodes at all? How do you guys know the dialogue so well?
