Training has been going well, I've attained more muscle mass. Maybe I'll forgive my father for sending me off to that Amazon woman after this. Hinata's doing well too. We made a koto out of wood for her to practice away from home.
MISSION LOG
After investigating and interrogating thoroughly, Hinata and I decided that it was time to move on. After all, it had been months since the headquarters had been cleared out and there was very little evidence left. So we left Izumi with the excuse that we were planning to travel as well as taking precautions from “our overbearing parents”. The couple seemed sad as we left. The old pervert didn’t seem to mind my leave but he wouldn’t let go of Hinata. Literally. I’d imagine that there were very few tourists in this area and not many people decide to stop here. After making a note of visiting them in the future, we departed from Izumi and headed towards Iwamura.
I had gotten leads to this town south of Izumi from contents we had found from the mansion that sat on the other side of the river, just across from the factory. There were two buildings. One apparently was supposed to be under the guise of another factory, but upon raiding the building, I found no evidence of operating equipment that was in the other factory. Evidently, this was part of their base. There was also no evidence here that would lead to their plan.
However, it was wise to examine the building next to it. It was a residential estate. It had been the power plant’s owner’s private estate but it was empty now because of the expulsion. It’s for sale, but the villagers were too poor to purchase such a large space. I was able to check it out before it was demolished (they had planned to make another area for shops in its place) and found an envelope with the return address to Iwamura. The letter was gone, but we had our next lead.
We’ve already finished our research in Iwamura so we’re heading to Saruya next. But here’s basically what happened. The address on the envelope led us to Dr. Tofu’s Tofu Shop. We decided to work there so we wouldn’t be suspicious. It was surprisingly easy to find out what we needed to know. It seems that the couple who owned the shop was very nice, but that was their downfall. We found out that they were involved with little trouble. We didn’t find any useful information on the plot while we were there (only that it was going to be done in Konoha. It seems we weren’t the only ones that felt that the couple was incapable of handling valuable information) but we found the leads to the next two locations, and apparently, the last two.
In the end we got fired from the job. Apparently the reason was “lack of skill” which I found insulting. I was sure people loved my tofu. My cooking is superb.
We left the town without any suspicions since there was nothing special there. So now walking west towards Saruya.
This mission sure is taking a long time. I really hope that we'd be able to wrap it up before the festival. I'm starting to get tired though. I'm not thinking straight as of lately.
And does my cooking realy suck? Tell me the truth.
