First off I want to thank GOD/and or the Higher Power for allowing myself and my family and close personal friends to survive this disaster...
The storm came through late Friday night, and I was about to go to bed, then I kept hearing the wind and rain pelting against my window. I went into my mom’s room, soon before you know all of our power

What a horrible experience!! I'm French,and sadly I don't often watch the news (shame on me). So I wasn't aware of this tragic event...I heard about it but never thought it'd be that harsh...I might have felt the same as you all there, if this happened to me -_-".
I agree with you, in a way, that this storm may be necessary for some people. Because we have to learn from this kind of tragedy good and bad things. That's sad how you realized who were your true friends =/ Well, I think I just have 2 or 3 friends, people I can call like that.

Thanks so much, girlie^^ We're okay, still in recovery though. Things are slowly getting back normal. Yes, it is really sad to see that it takes such a tragedy for people to come together and help one another. Sometimes that's just what it takes unfortunately. I think that its better to have those 2-3 real close friends than to have 20 acquaintances. Its cool girlie, whenever I was abroad in Korea and Italy, I hardly heard any American news, which for me was such a surprise, but in a way it was kind of good, I got tired of always hearing about so much crime, stock markets blah, blah, blah things. It was kinda of a nice change for me.
