Hikago quick recs and OMG is that BB 7 that I see?!
Ok, to catch up with my Hikago backlog I'm doing quick recs, a summary and maybe a line or two expressing why I like the fic. Sorry that I can't do the authors justice with a more in depth review, but if I want to get any of them done, that's how it's going to have to be. Not anywhere near complete.
A Beautiful Kiss by issen4 (ficlet, AkiHika) A short look at Hikaru's day. This is a lovely fic, very subtle and understated.
Pressure by issen4 (oneshot, gen, Hikaru, Akira) Written as a companion to everyone on livejournal's griping about exams and finals, Hikaru worries about the upcoming Title match and Akira tries to cheer him up.
Plastics 1/2 and 2/2 by issen4 (complete, AkiHika, humor) As usual, our heroes need to find a place for their favorite activity. Too, funny, I shouldn't say anymore, just go read it.
A Temporal Progression by reality_is (oneshot, Ogata, Ashiwara, shounen-ai) How Ogata sees Ashiwara over the years. Extremely well written and sweet. A beautiful look at both characters and their relationship.
Light and Shadow, Snow and Night, Go-stones on a Go-ban by katharos_8 (oneshot, gen, Akira, Hikaru) Hiakru and Akira, lazing about, strike up a conversation about poetry and go. Written as an answer to a challenge, the author does a great job incorporating the challenge and doing a character piece at the same time.
The Tangled Wood by katharos_8 (oneshot, HikaruxSai) Notes: Reply to Aethrin's request for AU Sai/Hikaru, told from any point of view other than theirs. Not really my pairing of choice but somehow this thing grew, and grew, and grew. This is a heart wrenching fic with lots of emotional impact. The concept was also unique, and I like how the author spun it.
Just Waiting and Drink to the Past by svz_insanity (oneshots, same universe, AkiHika) Both incredibly well done fics with incredible Akira voice, and I love how she writes the relationship between Akira and Hikaru.
Night Will Never Stay by svz_insanity (ficlet, AkiHika) Akira thinks about Hikaru at night.

Exist by for_eden (oneshot, Ogata/Hikaru) Written for the temps_mort "Touch" challenge. Nicely done with both characters being themselves yet still clicking.
The Relative Value of Things part 1: Shindou Was Probably Too Young To Drink, Anyway part 2: Game part 3: Set by rageprufrock (WiP, OgataxHikaru) Since Pru is writing this, you know there's going to be great writing. But there's the rub, I'm a terrible Hikaru and Akira fan and what she's doing to my OTP should be illegal. She's making me like OgataxHikaru smut.
19 (x19) Things That Never Happened part 1/19 2/19 3/19 4/19 5/19 6/19 by rageprufrock (WiP,oneshots, AU, just too good for words) Pru's huge undertaking to do an 19 AUs of Hikaru no Go. These are amazing glimpses at what Hikago could be like if something was different in the series. So far there's only been 6, but each of them have been fantastic and I can't wait for the rest of them.
