[Since I have time on my hands at the moment, and Ana-mod doesn't seem to be around... I figured I'd go ahead and take care of this. Schattenstern-mod and I had been discussing making this post, and she seemed agreeable to the idea, but for some reason it was never made. Owing to the recent mild crisis of losing our Mannen-mun/main mod, I thought

Some of the pairing plans, much as I like the pairings, have become a little... far reaching. It seems like it's going to limit what direction things go in, to have this whole sequence already worked out.

Oh, another thing that was really useful in another RP I played was trying to get a fair number of the players together on AIM at the same time to have chats about plots, and to just get to know each other better. Some of the best ideas came out of spontaneous comments there, more so than actual posts.
Characterwise, we've already discussed at fairly great length what role the kidlets are going to play in the plot. I'd rather not see him die, since Tessie pointed out I didn't say, but other than that, I'm pretty open. :p

Hmm...character-wise, I'm really okay with anything. I was toying with the idea of Takako dying the other day, so...yeah, basically anything goes.
Game-wise, I agree with not as many OOC posts/comments and not setting relationships in stone so early on. I like the AIM idea, if possible--I think that if we get a chance to squee over Shin's cuteness and talk about slut!Sasame in realtime, the number of OOC comments will go down dramatically. But in any case, I'll be enforcing limits on OOC-ness (I've been guilty of it too *hangs head*).
And since there have been requests, we now have an OOC/planning community, typiicon, inspired by a comment on the camping thread.

Ah, the poor Gravi fandom...that's probably the cause of half the fears I expressed. Because while I didn't suggest that it necessarily would end with shippyness overtaking the plot (which looks REALLY interesting), that's how it was looking to an outsider. And that's not how you want to present a RPG to prospective players, because you will attract the wrong sort while driving away the right ones.

*sighs* I love Gravitation but the fandom has gone insane lately. Well, not just lately. The abundance of young fans is not a bad thing but it makes for some god awful fanfiction and characterizations that make me want to throw sharp pointy objects at the authors. I write for the fandom but I'll be damned if I don't do my best to keep it in character and believable, even if I'm writing a non-canon pairing.
I know. Believe me, I know. RPG often grow and change with the players and go in directions the mod never intended. It can be a good thing or a bad thing. I'd like to think this one is going to turn out great because the roleplayers are really damn good. *smiles and waves* Welcome aboard. I'm glad you decided to join. ~_^
