Contrary to the previous post, college is not awesome. I've decided that I am looking forward to college, although I wasn't sure for a while. I've also decided that going to SUNY Binghamton really isn't a horribly awful thing. Especially since if I went to a non state school graduate school doesn't exist for me. I'm not going to lie, it does ( Read more... )

Everything is Wanf's fault. niffinvader October 10 2005, 14:16:12 UTC
Hah. Yeah. At first the ambitious people made me scared and then they made me angry and now I just laugh at them all. It's good that you'd be happy at Binghamton. I suppose I would be too.

Of course you have a life you FOOZ. No, you really do. And our favoritest holiday is coming up so I'M REALLY EXCITED, but we still haven't decided on a group theme, let alone a place... Hooray for procrastination! And Harry Potter. I'm psyched and there's over a months wait.

EINESTEPPENKIZZE IS SOOOO AWESOME. It really is. But that's a more rock-ish version than you're playing, right?

P.S. They can't help it. You're just sooooooooo MAVISY that they can't RESIST YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF MEGAN? I CALLED HALLOWEEN LAST SCHOOL YEAR'S MAY. FIVE TIMES. ASK ANYONE. We're not friends anymore because now I'm really miffed at you.

In addition, somehow I'm PRETTY sure that I fall under your category of the "ambitious people".

Jeeeeez, I didn't know we had agreed. That sounds alright, but are you sure you really want to have all those people at your house?

I was talking about the "people who haven't worked half as hard as you/Mavis/me/Marunas/Cellz" not you, silly.

I'm sorry. It's just that I had thought we agreed to it LAST YEAR because I explicity stated that I did not want to go to Andrea's this year. (I sekkritly <333 you but cannot say it because of my EVIL nature.) I'm leik.......CHO!

Haha. I'm probably am. I am ambitious. After all, I talk about college a wee bit more than is healthy...and have probably made you weary on several occasions because of it.

Whoa. SAT moment. me is the median of that quantity, while m is the mode. ::facepalm::

I'm not going to lie, it does bother me slightly to see people who haven't worked half as hard as me applying to really good schools

Have you ever considered that they won't get in? It'll be a waste of paper and money.

But that's just it... They might very well get into my first choice schools, because my first choice schools aren't very prestigious. And I'll probably get in too. The difference is that they'll be able to pay for it, and I won't. And there are kids applying to more prestigious schools that I'd stand a chance at, where I couldn't go even if I got in. Money sucks.

I'm confused. Are your first choice the Colgate-y ones? Because, it doesn't matter who gets into them, they're ridiculously expensive, and most people can't/don't want to pay for them. The other thing is, do you want to go to some of the more prestigious schools? Would you be interested in going?

Mary Mary Mary. Some of us couldn't get into those prestigious schools if we tried. I couldn't get into Harvard even if I sold my spleen on ebay, which I won't because I love it too much, while they'd actually look at your application for more than ten miliseconds.

That's not really a reply. Your wording is too esoteric...but take comfort that you'll go to a great school and make the most of it, while some of those other "richer but stupider" kids will not. Hopefully, I do not fall under richer and stupider. SIGH. Money does suck.

Aavis, it's all about grad school. You'll spend 4 years at Binghamton, get a degree, and then move on to something better. Me, I might (MIGHT) end up at something more prestigious despite not having worked a quarter as hard as you, but after Bachelor's I'm throwing in the towel on education.

Donc, c'est toi qui gagne.
