Nine It is dark, and humid, and quiet and all together uncomfortable, but he couldn't feel better because he woke up to the smell of roses and something that was musky that he could tell was probably sweat from a man. It doesn't seem so pleasant, and it doesn't seem so appealing, but to him it is, and that's all that matters. He sits up on the couch and looks around him. He wonders how early it is, or perhaps, how late it is. He stands from his spot and shivers a little as feet touch the cold floor, even though it's carpeted. He looks around at the familiar scenery and somewhere in the back of his mind he knows it's wrong, and he knows he shouldn't be here but he can't help it. He was locked out of his house and he needed somewhere to go. You could have always called your brother, or someone else, he tells himself, but he shrugs his shoulders and plays it off.
"Are you up?" He turns to the other who is standing behind the couch. "Yeah. Obviously. I mean, I'm standing." The shorter man chuckles a little. "I remember when you used to stay over a lot, you had a little problem with sleep walking, so don't use that tone with me." He blushes and looks down at his feet. "Don't remember embarrassing moments involving me. The shorter man stays silent for a minute. He smiles and turns away to walk into his kitchen. "Its kind of hard not to remember." "Hey! I take that offensively!" The shorter man turned his head to look back at the older man. "Don't, it was cute, Jongwoon." The said man blushed even harder and followed the younger into the kitchen.
"I'm hungry, Wookie." The younger sighed and opened the refrigerator door and started to take out ingredients. "Don't worry, I'll make you food," the other said with a small smile. "You'd be a good wife," Jongwoon says with a teasing tone, not realizing the small effect it had on the other.

Hyukjae woke up to arms wrapped around him and he didn't know wether he should be happy or sad. He just made a teenager cheat on his boyfriend. This young, young teenager who has his whole life ahead of him just cheated on his boyfriend. I just made him cheat on his boyfriend. He felt guilty and tired and didn't want to rack his mind thinking about what he did. What he has done. What he has done to this teenager's boyfriend. How could he be so irresponsible? Not only did he just let a man betray his boyfriend, but he also slept with a minor! He's committed a felony!
Hyukjae wanted to rest his head in his hands but he couldn't because they were trapped at his sides. "D-Donghae?" The younger stirred a little and Hyukjae looked up at the youthful face. "Yeah, babe? What is it?" Hyukjae wanted to blush but the red tint didn't come to his face because he still felt immense guilt and he wanted nothing more than to get up, leave and throw himself in the river. He briefly decides he's going to do that later. "Baby?" Hyukjae cringed at the nickname and looked at the wall on the opposite side of the room. "Don't call me that." The younger had a look of confusion clear on his face. "B-but.... why not?" Hyukjae sighed. "No reason, Donghae. Just, don't call me by any nicknames."
Donghae looked at the other with a concerned expression. He sat up and rested his body weight on his right elbow. He looked at the other and resisted the urge to trail his fingers up and down the other man's hip bone. "What's wrong, Hyukkie?" Hyukjae frowned. "I said no nicknames!" This time Donghae frowned. "W-what? Why?!" The older of the two sat up and looked down at his lap, away from Donghae. "N-nothing. No reason. Just, don't call me by nicknames." Donghae sat up. He didn't know what to do. His heart was constricting and he felt horrible;he felt like he was just thrown away and he, just like anyone else doesn't like that feeling. "Hyukkie-!" "Don't call me by a nickname!" Donghae sighed. "Hyukkie, stop yelling. Just tell me what;s wrong, and exactly what is wrong."
Hyukjae stared harder at his lap. "This is." Donghae cocked his head to the side. He understood exactly what it is Hyukjae was talking about, but he didn't want to. So he decided to just pretend he didn't understand. He doesn't understand what exactly he is feeling, and why this wave of hurt overcoming him, and why he wants the older man to be happy with what happened and why he wants the older to like him, but he does know that he wants all of these feelings to be gone.
"What do you mean?" Hyukjae sighed and shook his head. "Nothing. Donghae. Just, you're younger than me, so you don't understand." Donghae narrowed his eyes. "Gawd, is that what everyone thinks?" Hyukjae was startled by the angry tone and he turned to look ay the younger. "What?" His voice cracked and he heard it himself. He was far from tears, but he was ready to break down. Why is this hurting him so bad? "Everyone thinks that since I'm younger I don't know what I'm doing. 'Oh, Donghae, you're too young to know what you want to do in life.' 'Oh, Donghae, don't talk of silly things like sexuality. You don't have to worry, trust me, you like only women, you're too young to know about those gays anyway.' 'Donghae, we're not splitting up because of you. You're just too young to understand.' 'No, I do like your mother, I swear I'm good for her. Besides, you're too young to understand.' ''Oh, Donghae, don't leave home, you're too young, you don't know what you want.' Well, guess what?! I know about thing! I understand!" Hyukjae's eyes widened as he stared at Donghae.
"That was..." Donghae looked down at his hands. "Listen, Hyukjae. I guess I have a lot of anger. No, I know I have a lot of anger... and Kibum and I? We are dating, yes. But what we actually have is more sexual than romantic. We hang out daily. I go over his house because I love hanging out with him, and I love him, but I love him as a friend, and mostly, as a brother. We just decided we're teenagers and we have needs and it started out as friends with benefits, but one day Kibum proposed that we go out and I wasn't thinking and said yes and ever since then we've been going out. I mean, it started off nice and fun and carefree but it's getting more and more complicated but it's not really complicated, it's not even like a relationship... it's more like casual sex. I know I'm repeating myself, but, gawd, Hyukkie, I don't know what it is about you. I've known you for scarcely a week and I'm already trying to prove myself to you and I really like you and that takes a lot for me to say because I've never said stuff like this before, not even to Kibum... I mean I know I shouldn't keep bringing him up but for some reason I am and Hyukkie! Please! Just understand me!"
Hyukjae's eyes didn't widen, instead, they softened. "Donghae. I don't know you. I don't know what you've been through. I don't know the troubles you've seen or the problems you've experienced. What I do know is, you've made a mistake." Donghae looked at Hyukjae with a troubled expression. "Hyukkie!" It was pleading and the elder wanted to break. 'Donghae. I've been through these things." Donghae looked at his hands again. "No. No, you haven't." Hyukjae cocked an eyebrow. "Yes, I have. I've been through relationship problems before. "Yeah, but when you were a teenager did you sleep with an older man who wanted to throw you away?"
Hyukjae rolled his eyes and started to walk to the door. "No, because when I was younger I was responsible enough to not sleep with older men." Donghae narrowed his eyes. "Hyukjae. I'm plenty responsible. I just... I thought I liked you." "You've known me for nine days. You don't know me. You can't possibly like me." Donghae rolled his eyes this time. "You don't need to know someone to like them. You don't need to know someone to love them, even." "What do you know about love?!" "I know that you can love someone, even if you hate them! You can love someone if they fight with you constantly! Love doesn't require years of built up emotions or even years of long talks! You can look at someone and know its love."
Hyukjae sighed as he looked over the teenager. "Donghae. This is stupid." The younger looked at Hyukjae with questioning eyes. "What do you mean?" "We barely know each other and we're fighting. It is stupid." Donghae's face split into a crooked lopsided grin. "This is fun." Hyukjae rolled his eyes while he walked back over to the bed and let himself fall on it, letting out a small laugh. "This is dysfunctional." Donghae smiled wider. "Maybe that could be our thing." "We don't have a thing." Donghae looked at the older man with a certain cheekiness. "We could have a thing." Hyukjae hit Donghae lightly on the arm. "Shut up."
~~
"So?" "So what?" "So? What's happening?" The younger pursed his lips in irritation. "Obviously nothing, but then again... that's your fault." The older man sighed. "Listen. I don't care what you want and what you don't want." "Shut the fuck up Jungsu, you're a prick. You're not better than me." Jungsu rolled his eyes. He shifted on the couch. He looked down at his feet and looked at the floor underneath with distaste.
"I never said I was," Jungsu said. He liked how loud his voice was in contrast to the silence. He wanted to speak up again just to hear that contrast, but then the younger man spoke instead. "Well, you're not." Jungsu chuckled a little. "Why are you laughing?" Jungsu looked up at the younger through his bangs. "It just sounds so childish." Kibum tightened his jaw. "Don't call me childish." "I didn't mean it in that way. I guess I should have rephrased it." Kibum looked at Jungsu questionably.
"I mean, it sounds so youthful. Kind of how I sounded when I was your age. I acted like you. Maybe not as 'badass' as you, but I acted like you. I didn't care for responsibilities, but I kept them in my sight. I didn't let things get away from me, but when they did, I pretended I had a grip on them. I pretended I knew more about others than I knew about myself and I acted insightful, but I wasn't, really." "Stop comparing us. I'm nothing like that." Jungsu was the one to purse his lips in irritation this time. "Fine. I just figured I would keep you company and have a somewhat meaningful conversation with you, but if you want to act this way, and pretend like you're something big and mighty, then go ahead. But I hope you know, you're acting like you higher up in life than I am, and didn't you just accuse me of that?"
"Shut up, I don't have to answer to you." Jungsu sighed. He's not going to start a fight. He hates losing, and he hates not getting the last word in, but this is just a teenager who is still trying to find himself. "How's your relationship going?" Kibum snaps his head to the right of him where Jungsu is sitting. "What?" He picks up the beer bottle that sits in between his legs on the floor, and holds it, steady in his hands, almost as if he's ready to take a swig of it at any moment. "Good." Jungsu looked at him with doubt. "I mean, Donghae and I are more of casual sex partners." Junsu wanted to smile because he prided himself in the fact that he had made the other open up without even saying a word more. "Oh, well, I guess that's expected from teenagers."
The younger looked at Jungsu with an irritated look. "We're not like that because we're teenagers. We're like that because we chose to be." "Did you two choose? Or was it just you who chose?" Kibum looked at Jungsu with an offended expression. Truth is, he doesn't know. Maybe it was only him who chose to be that way. "Shouldn't you be getting home?" Jungsu stood and nodded. "I should." Kibum stood too. "I'll walk you to the station. There is some... bad people out here." Jungsu smiled. "I like you when you're not being all perverted." Kibum let a sleazy smile cross his face. "Hmm, then I guess you don't realize I've been watching your ass the whole time." Jungsu rolled his eyes.
