Dad's home now and doing great. The doctor told him he can go to the races which made him very happy. He hates sitting around doing nothing and was going stir crazy at home. My Dad's in the ICU. He had to have emergency surgery Thursday for a ruptured colon. All the contents of his colon had spilled out into his body and he had blood poisoning. I just found out that Paramount is releasing the first season of War of the Worlds on DVD. It's suppose to be out November 1st. Doing happy dance. I'm hoping to preorder it from Amazon.com. My birthday present to me.

I recently read an article about PETA that has me seething. Apparently, they took dogs from an animal shelter assuring the shelter that they would find good homes for the dogs. They then proceeded to kill the dogs (god knows how) and dump them by the garbage bag full into dumpsters behind some store. Their only defense is that the dogs are ( Read more... )

Today I took the rent check to the landlord while on the way to the grocery store. As we were driving away from the landlord's house a song came on the radio. It was a hip hop song (my sisters listen to it and they were with me). The singer was singing "Running, Running, Running" just as the singer began singing a woman jogged down the road ( Read more... )

Today I'm grateful that I have a roof over my head. As many problems as I have here and as much as I don't particularly like my neighbors at least I have a place to stay. So many people don't.
