Man, sometimes I wish I still watched Doctor Who and then, some weeks I am very glad I do not. How do you explain away that?

So, Irene got us here outside Philly, knocking down a tree in our neighborhood and blowing up a transformer. We all heard it around 10:30 Saturday, right after a tornado warning came on the TV. We had been watching Sense and ( Read more... )

I cannot believe I waited this long to see it. I know I had a slight interest when I heard/saw Hugh Laurie's ~five or so minutes in it - my sister loves it and put it on all the time when she lived here - but I never watched it in full. So much regret, so much time in which to love Alan Rickman wasted! ;)

I loooooove that he's a good guy here; I love him as Snape, of course, but in this, his performance makes you wanna cuddle him, he's so sweet <3 The scene where he's waiting outside her sickroom, all panicky - ah! he kills me with his cute...

I totally know the suckage of no power :/ back in 2004 when one hurricane hit (can't remember the name), and we didn't have power for three weeks. After five days of having to get water from my grandma's house for reasons you mentioned, we sprung for staying in a hotel. Ugh. Hope yours comes back soon!

My god, three weeks!?! I don't know what we would have done had that happened; shelter, I suppose, 'cause I don't know how we'd afford a hotel for that long (big family). FEMA could help, too, I think.

Our power just came back on, thankfully, and you have seriously helped put this into perspective. I feel a lot better/more relieved now. I'm just glad we don't live on the coast.
