Breaking Bad "Gliding Over All"

So.

I don't think I've ever been as stressed out while watching a show. Not even with LOST. You're just on-edge the ENTIRE time, just waiting to be gut-punched and horrified.

Walt staring at the fly and then philosophizing later with the painting, it seemed like no good could come of that. It appeared that Mike's death finally got through to him or something, broke the badness in a new way. So I was just waiting for a slip-up or something.

When I saw Walt had put the ricin back and then the time-skip, I was afraid that a now-walking Holly would somehow encounter it, babies getting into things and all. Though they did already kill one child this year, but this child's death would be way worse for Walt than Spider Boy's, so... Or Walt Jr. would finally get into that oft-prophesied car crash, 'cause Walt has to lose everything by his next birthday, right?

Jesus, that murder montage. And paired with that song - these guys know what they're doing.

And then the time-skip and everything's okay, so something TERRIBLE has to occur. I mean, I figure his cancer came back, which helps with his change of heart and decision to quit, though you could tell once the nine were taken care of, the "joy" or whatever in cooking had left him. He had what he wanted finally but it's just completely unsatisfying in a way that doesn't make him lash out but just go through the motions, depressed. Maybe without Jesse, too, his lack of family finally gets to him. He realizes whatever he was doing all this for is really gone now. It seemed like the whole Grey Matter thing was fueling him quite well but after Mike's death, Jesse leaving, and his final ascension to the meth king throne, there's no enjoyment to be found in anything.

That making peace scene with Jesse was strange, stilted, as it would be after all they've been through. I really hope Jesse isn't on the meth again too, it just looked like pot to me. I don't get why he hasn't fled yet, though. Now with all that money he should get to Saul right-quick and get the fuck outta dodge. I don't know how long it'll take before Hank connects Walt with Jesse, but I'm guessing not too long.

That discovery scene, though XD What a way to learn the truth, Hank. None of us thought he'd discover it this way. I admit to being a tad disappointed he didn't actually put it together on his own, but with Walt having killed all his leads, I guess this was the only way Hank could do it. But man does that guy have a lot of decisions to make. Walt is crazy-dangerous but also he'd wind up putting Skylar is prison too, seeing as how she's known about it and laundered the money for so long. I'm betting Walt figures out Hank knows pretty quick and gets his new ID from Saul's guy, unless the reason he ups and leaves has to do with the Madrigal meth backers upset that Walt left, maybe unsatisfied with Todd's batches? (I'm assuming he takes Walt's place or maybe Walt just trained some scientists or something :shrugs:) I'm hoping his family's okay, but who knows. He's not wearing his wedding ring in the future and he's using Skylar's maiden name which has got me worried for her D:

Gonna be a looooong wait for part two of this season!
