Christmas Dessert Theater

Dec 10, 2005 22:06

So I went to this dessert theater with Tonya at a local Baptist Church. For those of you that know me and know me well, I'm not a Baptist. I'm a Christian, but my faith is a little different from others because I don't believe in organized religion. I believe I can worship at my own pace and I don't need anyone telling me how to do so ( Read more... )

I guess I've been this way since I was fairly young. My mother never really forced any beliefs on me or anything like that, but instead she told us to believe how we want to. But If I did have to pick a church, it would be back home and the church nosseren goes to because Randy's just really cool!

Not a day goes by that I don't about it. We both have great family relationships, and had lots of good memories while at home. And there really isn't any other place like WV, imho. Although you're better off than I am-- at least you don't live in a swamp. >:P

No, I don't live in a swamp and I believe it gets a little colder here than it does there but I think our drivers are about on par with yours. Did you know that you can make a right turn from the far-left lane in a 1987 Mercury Land Yacht? I didn't either until 3 weeks ago... Also, it's really cool to jack those things up so they are as high as your standard pickup. Are you going home for Christmas, hunny bun?

I don't think it's silly for you to miss it at all. When I first came to CA from NY, I would find myself crying because the seasons weren't changing. I missed autumn and winter - it sounds totally ridiculous but when you make a major life adjustment, that's the way things go, right? Major changes don't just have to be geographical, but a restructuring of the things we're used to - personal relations, strong routines, anything familiar.

It just means you're healthy :)

Thanks for the nice comment! I'd really like to still be living there, but it's just that my options here are better than they are there. I searched for a job for 6 months up there and I had one within 2 weeks down here. I do miss almost everything up there.

I'm glad I'm not crazy. ;)

That makes sense. Given time, something will probably open up there and then you'd be able to move back. For now, this is a pretty good growing experience, though (painful as it may be).
