I'm in Barcelona! It's SO HOT. :( I think it might be an attractive city but I can't tell because my eyeballs have melted. Tomorrow I will go to La Rambas and walk all along it (but really probably find a cafe with air conditioning and hide in it). Wish me luck?

Barcelona is really lovely; La Rambas was one of my favorite parts.

Oh cool, how long were you there for?

I sort of made it to La Rambas but had spent so much time getting lost I was too tired to walk all the way along it. *wuss* I did see Casa Batllo though - amazing.

I was there briefly on a choral tour several years ago.

It's very long, yeah. I don't think I got through all of it, and we were there for several days.

I DID wind up in some of the sketchier parts a little too frequently, though. >_

Haha, me too! (to the choral trip) We were there for 2 days and I was too scared to leave the hotel. Our acappella was smooth though.

This is a highly belated reply to your text (my phone is far and my computer is RIGHT HERE, hence medium), but OH MAN I wish I could have gone to Barcelona with you (presumably this is the holiday to which you referred), but I am maaaassively impoverished. I could only go to Berlin because my boyfriend paid for the flight like I'm some sort of hideous facsimile of a Victorian kept woman. If you have any more leave though WE SHOULD GO CAMPING, IT'S BASICALLY FREE.

Camping yes! I think I have at least two weeks of leave I haven't booked yet, so the winds are in our favour. *portentious face*

Sorry about your impoverished-ness. I used Airbnb to save money on accomodation, but then spent money like it was cursed and I had to get rid of it once I was here*, sooo basically I'm not the best person to go on holiday with.

* E.g. today I went to an aquarium for no reason... then went back tonight because I didn't have enough on me the first time to buy a cuddly seal** from the giftshop. (I've named him SeaL-o.)
