Agreed 100%. I mean, from an RPS standpoint it's an interesting dynamic to toy with but otherwise, yeah, they're actors and they're acting. And if it's a good story, the fact that a character is gay is only one facet of his/her character as a whole.

Ooh, I've never heard of The Line of Beauty or Sugar Rush, but maybe I'll check them out.

Naww, so cute! I've never seen Torchwood but I was bored one day and stumbled upon some Jack/Ianto clips on youtube. I loved the one where they got walked in and then a bit later there was a line about cheating at hide-and-seek (I think) that totally cracked me up.

Seriously. Not to belittle its importance but there are other things going on besides their sexuality. A lot of gay-themed movies focus on this bit and that's fine because that's the nature of the medium but it's a different story of television shows, imo.

You know, I was just thinking about that. It's funny when people are surprised that some women find gay sex hot, that women are the main target audience of shows like Queer as Folk. I think that the whole lesbian vs. gay men thing has to do with gender too but my thoughts on that whole issue aren't quite clear yet.

Ah, yes, it's on my list of things to watch but my mood is fickle. Someday, I'll be super interested and I'm sure it'll be amazing but until then...
