How old am I?

Sep 01, 2009 23:51

Today, I was mistaken for an older teen or young adult. At 30 I got guesses of 18 and 19. After 37, the guesses of much younger than reality stopped so I assumed I started to look my age ( Read more... )

Tonight, my daughter - who is 6 1/2 and in 1st grade - was telling me about how she met a nice kindergartner at school and helped her on the swings.

I told her the story of how I met you. The one thing I totally owe Molly for... because you were 6 and I was 5 when we met. How amazing is that?

You are timeless, my friend. It's your innate light that fools people - not the outer shell! :)

I have been thinking about you a lot lately and the story. I am pleased to see you stop by and say hi. Which is a way is ironic considering I am so rarely here myself. :D

me too on both!!

It has been a busy and strange year - but good. Life took me in some strange directions, but I have to say I'm happy to be on the path I'm on right now - it allows me to try things I'd never have a shot at any other way.

But I miss you nonetheless!!

When things slow down a bit? I might just have to come "kidnap" you for a nice, mellow, just us girls playing catchup weekend. :)

Miss you, sistah!!

And when Keith had long hair, how many times was he mistaken for a woman? You are Keith's Evil Twin :)

Oh come on, we've known this for years! It isn't like we haven't worn each other's clothes, been mistaken for each other, etc. We typically swap lengths of hair (me long, him short or him long, me short) but at this time we seem to be approaching the same length at the same time.

For some reason, I assumed you were younger than me (I'm 36).

But it's been the same with me....in my late 20's I was regularly mistaken for a teenager, but the past couple of years the guesses are usually my actual age. Not sure why, since I don't think I look so different. I've wondered if there's something subtle I'm not seeing that everybody else notices.

I thought you were younger becausen sometimes reading your journal it was like looking into a mirror from that past. I think I got a cheat too though. I think somewhere you put in something that gave me an clue to your actual age ( ... )
