Damon folded his pants, OF COURSE. I mean he IS Damon, right? Also I love how he has PTSD, but she doesn't about the river. Just, ugh, life ruiner.

Hee! Yes, he totally folded his pants and then laid them on his boots so they wouldn't get dirty, the weirdo. Elena's a tough cookie :)

I also like how they just can't stop fighting, or rather how Damon has such difficulty letting himself enjoy the moment. This feels very real, and very possible if they ever get to this place on the show.

Yay, I'm so glad you liked that! I haven't tried much extensive dialogue or conflict before and I'm pretty sure that shows so I'm tickled you pointed that out. thank you! :)

Oooooooh, I love all the messiness here -- this is exactly how I picture them being if they ever decided to make a go for it. Damon's insecurity is adorable (*pets), and the role reversal re: HIM being the one holding back seems really right to me. I approve of the "maybe if you and I had met first" thing being so ultimately inconsequential (as it should be). And props for writing D/E fluff that's not actually saccharine at all, because even the two of them together at their happiest is coloured with their Bucket O' Issues. :D

I think he would have a hard time trusting it, like waiting for the rug to get pulled out from underneath him all the time.

And props for writing D/E fluff that's not actually saccharine at all, because even the two of them together at their happiest is coloured with their Bucket O' Issues. :D

Hi.
I haven't seen season two or three of the Vampire Diaries, but I have a bit of an idea what is going on in general (Youtube clips help a lot!).
So I just wanted to say that you've got the characters down. Damon reacts just like I imagined he would to a vampire Elena... and the closeted good guy that he is he would even let Elena go back to Stefan.
I love your stories and I hope to read the next one soon!
