I had to crack up tonight while babysitting. The kids are my boss' sister's kids~an almost 4 year old, an almost 2 year old, and a 5 month old. YEAH. And the middle child, Sophia, is freaking hell on wheels. She knows how to undo the deadbolts on the doors, how to turn the stove on, how to operate the child-safety latches on the kitchen cabinets.

As you know, I've had seven, all of them were bright and verbal and cute, but number 5 became "HOUDINI"! He could (and did) silently leave the house 'for a walk' at 18 months. No gate or latch could hold him. We locked the door, he unlocked it, we put a lock up higher, he used a broom. We finally put a motion alarm on the door, so when he DID go out, we'd HEAR him!!
