4th Wall is the best wall of all

Ahh, the scent of continuity shattering in the breeze! It awakens and bolsters my spirit, much in the way a subspace rift heals the wounds of the faithless child.

I have no idea what any of that means, by the way.

Do you ever have any idea what you say, Samuel?

There's usually a cursory understanding of the language, of course. But some seem to think I miss the deeper meaning of things.

For example, when I tell people of the admiration I have for the way Kage's sweat pools softly on the brink of his neck. As an astoundingly in-tune individual, I know this means I have a vast appreciation for proper perspiration. That this perspiration happens to be upon the chiseled and heaving bust of Adonis himself is completely insubstantial.

Isn't self-awareness fun?

I too find the wind a refreshing change after making my way to the upper decks. It has been a while since I've felt the wind off the sea in my hair.

It's a lick better than feeling a sea of hair in your wind. Haha, another metaphoric masterpiece by one Samuel Goldthwaine Robinson Jr!

That depends on to whom the sea of hair belongs Mister Robinson. If it is that whom the wind loves then the wind is as pleased as can be.

[To hell with continuity and the wind and knowing what you're saying. THERE IS A UNICORN ON THE BOAT.]

[UNICORN.

Sam... he's a virgin.

He's gonna ride it.]

[Have you wished hard enough Sam? Have you? If you have all your dreams will come true. Provided they don't crash in to a wall or something.

Or a dolphin shows up.]

[Not a dolphin! Samuel is certain they cause dreams of loose moral fiber.]

My, what a lovely cannibal death chant you've shown me. If you don't mind, I think I may enjoy it from the safety of my room, behind a locked door, with my umbrella cradled in my hand as a weapon of desperation.

You'll get the hang of it. It took me fifteen years, after all.

[That hat. What a very special hat. It'd make good target practice. Don't mind the stare, he's deciding whether to blast before or after the conversation. It's not every day one is allowed to punt the fourth wall off a cliff with impunity.]

The only thing that took me a "Doorman's Decade" to learn was elementary knottery, and only because I mistook the Hangman for the half-windsor. The hangman just seems such a harsh name for so friendly looking a knot...

...Of course it is used for tying nooses, but I have it on strong authority that this fact was entirely coincidental.

Breaking the fourth wall is a difficult but rewarding skill! Although hanging people is pretty good as well, I must admit!

So, where'd you get that hat?
