Not one, but TWO of my elderly Meals on Wheels clients invited me into their homes to watch the Inauguration. Mr. W.S. and I watched the very beginning part, when Obama first came in, and then I drove to Mr. H.S.'s house, where we watched the swearings-in. It really was. The best part was just how earnest they both were in their excitement. Mr. H.S. had set a big pocket watch so that he could count down the minutes to when we had a new president. Mr. W.S. made a point to say that how much he would have liked to have been on the Mall (but that it looked "damned cold").

Yeah, Mr. W.S.'s front door is decorated with Obama stickers. <3

It was an excellent speech. I really loved the benediction, too.
