Review of 2010 [super long! tl;dr version at end]
I haven't written anything yet so I will do it. Now. Anyways.
2010 was a strange year. From January to March, I went to North Van every Thursday and Friday for art times. Thursday was portfolio, and I felt very tiny, both physically and in terms of skill compared to the people surrounding me. Fridays were portrait class and I was the youngest there. I really enjoyed myself in that class and found out "hey, I'm not terrible at this". However, lack of recent practice may prove those words right... Olympics didn't really affect me. Not that I know of anyway.
I worked my ass off over a decent portfolio. During spring break, me and the family went down to Portland, Oregon and I was drawing in the car the whole time. I also got a new computer, which surprised me a lot. I started playing RO around this time since I finally got a computer good enough to run it.
April was portfolio review time! I stayed home, waiting for the call and it got through! Too bad I had to do interviews and other testing shit to get in. Huh. Finding out that I didn't get in wasn't heartbreaking, for some reason.
Within two weeks of the purchase of that computer, the hard drive died. Luckily, that one-year warranty came through and I got a new hard drive. My Sims addiction started around here.
July was birthday month! My 18th birthday was shitacular but I don't remember the 19th as much... What did I do again?
August was a month of two extremes. Firstly, my piano exam. Day before AE. Spent two weeks cramming and sat down for nearly four or so hours practising. Exam time come, I thought I bombed. Skipped an entire section of one song and was OTLing in my head.
Next, there was AE. Best AE year ever because I made money instead of spent it. I also finished my cosplay in two weeks. I want to redo some parts eventually but I think it was the best thing I put together.
Finally, the Hellish Trip to Edmonton. All I want to say is, I never want to go back there. Ever. Again. But then, I'll miss the very few people that I like seeing so, auuuugh.
September was time to re-do some highschool shit. Nothing really interesting here.
October was when I started watching/playing Inazuma Eleven. Glad I started too! From here to December it was a bit of a blur, but I remember complaining a lot about Physics and such. Some family drama here and there.
Christmas was great! December was a time of baking and we tried out a lot of new stuff. The bill was super high for that month too. We got a PS3 and on the same day, that wonderful Avatar Marathon/sleepover at Kiry's. December was great!
All in all, 2010 was an okay year. I think.
Here is where I will say, "RL friends, let's hang out more", "I want to improve in drawing", "I need to get into school" and "let's cosplay 12365421 number of things", but whether these happen or not... We shall see!!!
And I'll do a separate entry on games and stuff. Maybe
