It is a brisk morning.

Jun comes over a dune, moving inward. Behind her is a flock of geese. They are not chasing her. They merely seem...attached.

Derek has been stretching in the sand next to the beach house steps. He's finally stopped shaking when he moves, and his flexibility has suffered since that fateful day a month ago. He doesn't like that, so now that his body is no longer rebelling when he moves, he aims to get back into shape as soon as he can.

So when Jun comes over the dun with her entourage, Derek happens to be bent over, his hair fanning against the sand as he studies her from the debatedly graceless view from between his legs.

He raises an eyebrow as he realizes she has a gaggle with her, and stands upright, turning to watch as his wife approaches.

There is a bemused smile on his face.

"Good morning!" She calls. The geese follow gamely, their tail feathers wobbling as Jun speed walks away from them. "How did you sleep?!"

"'Morning," he replies, still smiling, "New fans of yours?"

Geese. His wife brought geese home. This is too insanely cute, in his humble opinion.

"I guess. I wanted to go upstream, and strike out for the hills, but they had other ides. They didn't attack me, but they followed, and the terrain isn't nice to them."

She looks bemused.
