After shaving Derek's head -- out of necessity because the patches of fuzz alternating with scalp were too ugly to look at for long--Jun went out to the balcony and laughed until tears came to her eyes.
Derek stayed still for the shaving. He didn't like it, but he knew Jun was right. He looked, when kindly put, pi-bald at best. To be honest though, the truth was that he looked like he had mange, minus the scabs and dry skin.
He could sort of hear her laughter and sighed. He'd find it funny. Later. When his hair grew back out.
