 I'm at Korea right now. If there is anyone waiting for my translation for Skip Beat, I hope you will wait for my return to Japan tomorrow. I looked for Hana to Yume #7 at the airport on the 4th but.. well, I couldn't find any T-T

My translation is not always accurate either XD Sometimes I take a look at your scanlation and when there are discrepancies, I would think long about it. If I thought my translation was weird or anything then I'd check what the other guys say in their blogs or at 2chan.

You mean, about Japanese? Sure, I'll help any way I can :D Though sometimes I might not be able to explain things very well in English (as I'm not a native English speaker). As I already mentioned above, you helped me already in some ways so if you have any question, fire away.

I do have one question.

Kyouko says this in page 30, and Ren says something similar in page 25.

私をどうにかしたい

私を = me (towards)
どうにか = somehow managed to / one way or another.
したい = want to do

I stringed them up together to become:
There is something you want from me, no matter what.

Is that accurate? Clerria suggested it meant "impure intentions" though...

Well, if you look at the words and phrases separately like that, I guess you'd translate it like that. If it was me, I'd just say "Do you want do to something to me?" because, well, there's a bit of what both of you meant in the line is how I take it. Like you said, "dounika" means manage to do something in one way or another like: dounika yaritogeta (finally finished it) or dounika ikiteru (am still living one way or another). But Clerria is also not wrong in her translation, it's just that she took it deeper.. or you can say you can take it both ways from the line: good and bad. And we are not sure which Kyouko meant (though normally and maybe 80% she is saying Ren has impure intentions towards her)..

But it is just her line to provoke him. She is not directly saying he wants to do something bad to her. She is just hinting that she thinks he meant to do somethng to her...

Yeah, everyone at 2chan was saying that sensei always takes a break when something big is going to happen. Something like a prelude or foreshadowing? Like that time at Karuizawa when Ren was angry at himself and scared Kyouko. And the other times that I can't remember anymore

The shower scene killed me. No one else remarked on it, but the fact that she basically burst in brandishing a ladle, of all things, just about made me pee my pants.

I'm trying to think of when Ren gave Kyoko a lap pillow...I don't think he ever did. She did for him, but not vice-versa.

I wonder why we STILL don't know what Kyoko gave Ren for his birthday. Is it somehow going to be a plot-turner, or was it so insignificant that we're not even going to be told what it was? That sensei has kept it secret so long seems to suggest to me that it's either not important at all, or very dramatic. (Because why keep it secret for a long time and then reveal something boring?)

The shower scene was really hilarious. I mean, would you normally just go into the bathroom with a ladle still in your hands? Of course, maybe I should cut her some slack as they are siblings (acting) but.. XD ROFL.

4. Released a new song on her birthday (?) ←really? I forgot o.0

I lost the first three when I dealt the cards but managed to win the next two games XD Went to Seoul Tower later after lunch then. Again with just "Annyohaseyo!", "Kamusamumida~" and pointing at the menu. We were caught in the crowd walking on the street before that actually. I don't speak Korean so I'm not sure what was really happening but I think some famous celebrities came to a shop there (everyone was pushing each other.. We were all were wondering "What on earth is happening?" "What are they talking about?!" XXD Then later we saw a TV camera with an interviewer interviewing some japanese girls. We walked past them and got into a restaurant and that's it. LOL. There was this weird organisms swimming in one of the fish tanks in front of the shop though. They have the shape of human colon Oo ... ... ...ugh

UNO? Umm.. It's a card game, but with UNO cards, of course.

..I don't know how to explain about the game though. I think it's from the US?
They have 4 sets of color cards from number 0 ~ 9, and "skip", "reverse", "draw two", "wild card", and "wild draw four" as power cards. Uhh..any more than that is hard to explain. Basically, you have to put a card with the same color with the one on top of the discard pile. Very fun XD

Have you considered Monopoly card game? It's not a bad family card game, though you need at least 3 ppl for it to be fun.

YuGiOh and Magic Gathering are probably too hardcore to play on a trip. :P

Tomorrow I'll be taking the flight to Tokyo. It's my research related stuff. Am going to Tsukuba. So I'm kind of beat now. Got to go to the lab first tomorrow though. I have to ask for instructions from my professor.

For SB, I just translated till page 07 and got too sleepy to continue. I'll do my best to finish it by tomorrow so :)
