My Pippin has passed on to the Land of Light, Love, and Eternal Snackies. Her health declined sharply just a few days ago. She was suddenly unable to walk, wouldn't eat or drink, and her breathing became labored and harsh. She had been in heart failure for over a year, but meds kept her going and her quality of life at age 16 remained good. I

Oh love! I'm so sorry you've lost such a sweet companion, but glad you let her leave with dignity and a last cuddle. I shall miss the Pippin pictures.

I'm very sorry you've lost your long-time companion. I've enjoyed your posts about Pippin over the years. She was such a sweet little dog. She had the best life with you, and I know she will be terribly missed. <3

It’s so good that she could pass at home, but I know it’s very hard for you to lose such a good friend. Wishing you acceptance and peace, both of which will come on their own timetable.
