I just got a foot-long lizard out of my apartment! (Don't ask me how it got in.) After calling six pest control companies and being told "We don't do lizards", and calling my apartment manager and getting the answering machine, and cowering in terror for an hour because a foot-long lizard was hiding behind my dresser and wouldn't come out, I had a BRILLIANT IDEA. Aren't lizards meat eaters? Didn't that T-Rex enjoy chomping on people in "Jurassic Park"? So... I put a garment bag (like you find in a suitcase) on the floor near The Lurking Beast, propped it open, put some meat inside it (roast turkey), and backed away all quiet-like. In FIVE MINUTES, Mr. Hungry Lizard was inside that bag, chomping on the turkey! I grabbed the bag, heart pounding, zipped it closed, and raced outside, to release Mr. Now Very Confused Lizard back into the Wild outside.
Eeeeeee! I'm all proud of myself and stuff! :D
