--Merry is anxious upon Pippin’s leaving to fight at the Black Gate and even afraid and reluctant and does not acquiesce to Pippin going off to the Black Gate at first but Pippin (and/or Aragorn) tells Merry why it is a necessity that it be done…
--elaboration on Sam and Pippin’s first sight of elves in the chapter “Three is company” I especially love how Tolkien described how Sam first saw the Elves and were taken in surprise most about their song but also with the fruits upon their table... Sam could never descrirbe in words, nor picture clearly to himself, what he flet or throught that night, though it remained in his memory as one of the chief events of his life."
Just drabbles of how either Sam or Pippin felt the first time would be so awesome. :)
I love hobbits so much~ <3periantariDecember 23 2005, 02:10:57 UTC
More bunnies ;)
--Merry and Sam have conversation after seeing Frodo off... maybe a day or two after Frodo leaves from the Grey Havens. What do they talk about? Does Sam begrudge Merry for knowing before he did? Would both of them feel sorrow and how would they help each other deal with the loss?
please don't include this part...just my own thinking: ...I write Merry and Sam because i think both of them know Frodo the best... Merry is like Frodo in some ways and Sam has just been with Frodo the longest so it's safe to assume he thought he knew his Master and would not think of leaving him without further notice.
i would write this too but just in case i don't, i hope someone adopts this. :)
Also:
A little ficlet about Merry's response to Bergil telling him "Come Master Perian! You are still in pain, I see. I will help you back to the Healers. But do not fear! THey will come back. THe Men of Minas Tirith will never be overcome..." (From "THe Black Gate Opens", RotK
